General George S. Patton, 7th US Army Commander, with lieutenant general Władysław Anders, 2nd Polish Corps Commander, inspects the Polish troops.
Music: March "Rzeczpospolita"
I'm Polish and I'm glad that Patton being very negative about his British and Russian allies really liked Polish troops. Kudos to General Patton one of my favorites !
Poland allied with Russia in 1941.
Patton is mediocre media general much like MacArthur
@@ACF1901 Poland never allied russia. They were allies of our allies.
@@milton2137 Look up the Maisky agreement. Władysław Sikorski of the Polish Government signed the alliance with soviet foreign minister Ivan Maisky
@@ACF1901 it wasn't an alliance but agreement that Poles will be released from gulags and they will fight against the germans bro. Also, even if it would be an alliance, soviet broke it multiple timea.
Great generals of all time! Polish-American right here and I'm proud of it! Polska and America forever!
Why maga republicans support communist putin ? Its just mindblowing they dont like china coz its commie but they love putin coz he wants soviet union back!
Makes so much sense xD
Watching this short documentary film is very moving. I think that the same emotion will be felt by the viewers of this film in a hundred or two hundred years.
generala sikorskiego tez zamordowali bo przeszkadal w dogadaniu sie amerykanow brytolii z sowietami
Wonderful vid! My father Tadeusz was a Second-Lieutenant in the Light Artillery Regiment of the Polish ll Corps (and my godfather, another Tadeusz, was a Lance-Sergeant) - this fighting force was admired immensely by Allied leaders.
my grandfather was also Tadeusz
Two the best generals in that war.
Proud to be Polish-American.
This short film is beautiful to watch. The Poles welcomed General Patton as befits a great leader US Army.
Patton and Anders. Superb people whose one treated abominably, when they lived.
Patton was a great American. I doubt if he could understand or speak any Polish, but he was quite fluent in French. I think he admired the Polish armed forces greatly because their courage and determination were legendary and because of what their country had gone through suffering Nazi atrocities.
and we can not forget soviet atrocities too, like Katyń
I understand that Anders briefed Patton about the dubious Soviet Allies. The rest is history.
General Patton detested the Soviets.
my favorite part about patton was his complete disdainfor political correctness anyone willing to tell it how it is even if it "hurts someones feelings" is great in my book
He said in his book that Poles were most disciplined best looking soldiers from all allied forces.
I don't want to start a flame war it's just a quote from his book which I think will be intresting for some people watching this movie.
Our President Trump has a heap of respect for the Poles also.
Tadeusz Koszciuszko also designed West Point Academy...
He was such a great general! When I was a teenager I used to research him quite a bit on my computer, I always wanted to join the Army because of Patton! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Rest Easy Sir🌹🙏🏻
17 December 1943 Patton visited the Anders II Army in Faqus in Egypt - place and date is known
Well it though it was in Tunis
Patton żywił głęboki szacunek do Andersa.
Andersa
proud to be polish.patton knew the score.he wasn`t allowed to act.he knew who should have been the next megalomaniac to be eliminated.
Patton's untimely death was mysterious, to say the least. He could have beaten the Soviets to Berlin if allowed to. Historians will one day reveal the truth.
@@ronaldostrowski4014 question is "what truth?"
History is re-written in our times.
Considering that Poland's gift and legacy to America was the world famous United States Cavalry, Patton would render such respect and homage to the Poles. He also loved my own relatives from across the pond, his favorite Allied unit being General LeClerc's 2nd French Armored Division. Quite a feather in their cap even today, getting their endorsement in the fine art of bad-assery from the American Genghis Khan himself. They had to have been Gaulish and Frankish warriors reborn.
@TheBeerNut1 Patton was probably the only US general that understood us . Its a shame he pased when he did and youre right he had the right idea about the Russians. When rest of Europe relized what he knew Before it was already to late.
Anders y sus soldados verdaderos héroes.
Patton was a WAR GOD ! May he come back and finnish the job and save humanity from more bullshit, God bless Patton.
He may have to come back and fight the Chinese....
Awesome Patton
George Pattonski.
@PolskaProdigy Warsaw was barely in range of Douglas DC-3 "Dakota" (gliders are out of consideration anyway), but in a straight line from Britain and obviously it had to avoid German AA guns and fighter planes. Even if these planes would reach and make drops in Warsaw, it wasn`t possible to return and soviets refused the allied planes to land and refuel behind the frontline.
Soldiers have to follow the orders. Market Gaden was no less a suicide mission.
Thanks, I appreciate, greets Willy
@PolskaProdigy Just yesterday i watched a Dutch documentary "God Bless Montgomery: De vergeten Polen in de Slag om Arnhem" ("God Bless Montgomery" - a quote from movie "A bridge too far")... it`s in Dutch, but there are long parts spoken in English by the veterans and thier families, historians, quotes etc.
Brigade was created with a destination to be be sent to Poland, but it wasn`t possible anyway... they`d die in Warsaw, like the others, if thier planes wouldn`t be shot down even before.
@LottoWinner999 Unfortunatelly i know nothing about thier relations. Can`t say if 6 months was enough, but it`s obvious enemy shouldn`t be given any chance of regrouping and preparing defences. A bit similar case was in Italy, when the Gustav Line was broken at Monte Cassino and Piedimonte, gen. Clark rushed to Rome so Germans could take a second breath and retreat to the other line.
Not all of the British commanders were like Monty.
@MaximusProteus Thanks!
@PolskaProdigy
It`s written in the description that`s a march "Rzeczpospolita" (Republic)
Forgot.....so Patton has the Poles to thank for his alma mata as well....
GOOD GRIEF! You still don’t get it, do you? SIMPLY AMAZING! Whether I’m mad at the British or not is completely irrelevant. I’m simply stating that the British had no genuine concerns regarding Polish sovereignty; if they had then they would never have agreed at the Tehran Conference to hand Poland over to the Soviets after the war was over. Do you get it now----did that sink in?
Świetny film, kronika
I would suppose & his grandson as well. On a separate note, since you mentioned the Cavalry, you might find the book entitled "Soldier of Liberty" by C. Manning very interesting concerning Casimir Pulaski, have a nice weekend!
Music: March "Rzeczpospolita"
Very brave men
this is a nice video...:)
@ksb2050 Thank you.
The great Patton with one of the better generals of the Poles, both who realized the Soviet threat.
@MaximusProteus I feel so sorry for Sosabowski..... He wanted to get transport and assist the Warszawa uprising when the British and the Russians denied it to him. After the Warszawa uprising he had found out that as a result of the combat his own son had become blind.
P.S I feel for Sosabowski!
just to incredible to see both Generals together ! So similar in nature and statute, proud of both of them Patton learned first hand from Anders about soviets, stalin and their primitive, no value for human devourers...
Gotta love these two Generals! Both of them. If they'd been only in command of geopolitics?
@BlatantlyObvious1
Ineptness is a one thing, but the way he treated Sosabowski, making him a scape goat, is just disgusting. You can`t defend honor of a man that haven`t had it at all.
Respect to Canadian soldiers, they fought together with ours not just there, but also at Falaise, Dieppe (read about the actions of ORP Ślązak !) and many other battles. Many were allowed to settle in Canada after the war... after years of public work for minimal wages.
Oskar that was truly a disgrace. How they treated him. Even more taking in consideration that they promised Sosabowski he would be at Poland for the Warsaw uprising.
By the way i thought that british general Browning was the one that blamed the polish troops for market garden.
Did Patton or Anders supported that claim?
Can someone please post the song's name. I really want to request it to the school band. Thanks! Merci Beau coup!
Who can tell me the title of this music? thanks in advance
@prokulf They did not realize, that the U.S. Roosevelt administration favoured the USSR expansion in reality. And Poland in 1939 had believed France and England would come to aid Poland to crush Germany. England did not want nationalist Poland to annex eastern Germany in 1939. The English war party (Churchill, Eden etc.) desired a conflict. England could declare war on Germany on Sept. 3, 1939. Germany did not. Poland also wanted the war. If Poland had known, they would have ignored Danzig!
The Anders army was made of prisoners of Gulag that Stalin let go from Syberia as Germany attached Russia. They were dieing there. Anders literally saved their lives. For that alone he is a hero. Too bad they needlessly died soon after in Monte Casino.
Wow.
Yes, very interesting.. :)
That's not the point! You’re not paying attention because if you had been you would not have asked a totally irrelevant question. The point is Britain had no real genuine interest in protecting Poland and just used the German invasion of that country as an excuse to go to war with Germany.
what is the name of this march at the beginning and throughout ?
"marsz Rzeczpospolita"
Husarz28 . . . . . thank you kind sir and greetings from America.
Igor Stravinskyh
you're welcome and greetings from Poland
Ciekawe z kim? Z powodu wcześniejszej prezentacji siły militarnej USA w sąsiedztwie ZSRR (Japonia) wujaszek Wania musiał się wyciszyć w 1946.
Dziekuje uprzejmie
Farkn we even had a bear on our side
@PolskaProdigy Wojtek is a name, or more precisely, a diminutive of Wojciech. If it goes for this particular "Wojtek", just look here - watch?v=mIg1pZgMGRk
Agreed! ^__^
Nie w 1954, a w listopadzie 1956. Jaka "Polsza:" go wygnałą? to Chruszczow kazał mu wyjechać z Polski.
My father left the syberian camps together with Genaral Anders. He was one of the boys who Anders didnt want to accept because of their age. After his quote; I prefer die in war then die from hunger' they were accepted.
I dont care about all the political stuf, I want to now more about him. He died on 4 april 1987, a year after my birth. Does somebody know more? contact me
If Patton was so great, why was he 'assassinated'?
...Do Generala W. Andersa...

Patton instead Stalin Polish dream come true
I cant, we have so many photos from Africa and deserts and we are not in history of XX century even...
My dad Warren is on the third sander...
Is everyone talking about: Bernard Montgomery?
Haris haris
Język rosyjski znałam lepiej 30 lat temu, teraz pozostały mi w pamięci żałosne resztki gramatyki, słownictwa, fragmenty poematu "E.Oniegin" Puszkina i .... jeden cały wiersz Lermontowa. Pan natomiast skromnie udaje, że nie zna języka a ... treść rosyjskich komentarzy "8555Russ5558 " odczytuje bezbłędnie!
@VVojtekSoldierBear
because they didn't want to know the world that they lost very much against poland before the russians attacked us from the behind 3 week later.
Is this song Polish or American?
On ma rację. Anna German to Polka rosyjskiego pochodzenia.
you dont understand this, it is not most important who took Beriln or whatever.
Vs head Abramow, vs russian Katia, vs geology scientists Sokolow vs irish count.
Can I ask what Voytek means?
Wojtek the soldier bear. Look it up
...To General W. Anders.
Sir General, when you send a substitute,
a substitute who will let us drop our raised hands.
Rased only because we fear our neighbor.
We fear as the majority, so we disturb the minority

and its guilty findings and judgements.

Brednie.
1/ No i kto z nas lepiej zna rosyjski, bądź też dokładniej (wnikliwiej) czyta rosyjskie komentarze "8555Russ558" ?
Prawidłowa odpowiedź: NIE JA A PAN!
@PolskaProdigy It sounds like a polka but it could be American because of General George s. Patton.
jak pisze "byc moze w polnocnej afryce ".
Podziwiam Pani znajomość rosyjskiego, chciałbym tak znać ten język.
@MaximusProteus True..... but soldiers in WWII shouldn't have been held back from fighting for what they believe in...... Even it is a suicide mission.

Polacy walczyli w Afryce.
W armii Andersa byli też Żydzi, będący obywatelami Rzeczpospolitej .
Podczas postoju w Izraelu/Palestynie wielu z nich dostało od Andersa
pozwolenie na opuszczenie armii i pozostanie w Izraelu.
