also the end of that song leads into igor's theme making the album a loop showing that feelings for a person don't truly go away hence, "EXACTLY WHAT YOU RUN FROM YOU END UP CHASING"
especially because musically it makes a circle with IGOR's THEME! The final note on the album doesn't resolve, but when you play igor's theme after the first note resolves the melody, creating a musical circle- also the lyrics infer that tyler (or igor) is bound to start the cycle all over again. Tyler really is a goat
I’m a new Tyler fan. Started hearing him as features on some Frank Ocean’s songs. Got curious who the f he is, now I can’t stop listening to him. Flower Boy is my most favorite album ever.

It not only reminds me of my depression, but also how far I've come mentally, as I am no longer depressed and am currently happier than ever before. Man I was there to see Tyler at Lollapolooza this year; fuck dude, it was one of the best performances a person could see, ESPECIALLY when the IGOR portion was being performed. New Magic Wand in concert had the crowd feeling a different typa way; especially with how close I was to the front.

Wolf is the best music immature Tyler made IMO, and it conceptually sets the tone for a lot of what he did later once he grew up a little. Rusty, answer, Awkward, 48, Colossus, Campire, Bimmer, IFHY, and Lone all hold up really well with his new stuff.
Honestly, the one Tyler song that actually gives me chills is I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE, the song stays on the same flow only to get more intense and the bass literally runs chills down my spine it really shows how much this relationship affected Tyler. As underrated as it is, it still manages to be my favorite Tyler song

My rank for his albums: 1. IGOR 2. CMWYGL 3. Flower Boy 4. Wolf 5. Cherry Bomb (but I do gotta say that this album is beautiful instrumentally and IMO this is the album where his authentic sound started to develop) 6. Bastard 7. Goblin I also think we need to give him mad credit where credit is due on some of the amazing singles he’s put out (Okra, Potato Salad, Fuck It, Gelato, Tip-Toe, Bronco, etc.) too. So obviously a Tyler/Santigold album would be fucking amazing….. but I just thought of something… what about an Earl/Solange album????? 👀 👀 It’s hard to say which would be the better album.
dude you are great. your video explaining the iceberg had a major part in me getting into tyler back in may, and here i am 6 months later singing every song that comes on at the top of my lungs
I listened to Igor at right time in my life the album was set for. I had developed feelings for a friend who already had a bf and I didn’t know how to deal with these new feelings. And suddenly my he just stopped wanting to interact with me. And that’s when my mood swings got to the worst it’s ever been in my life, my emotions had control over my body. And I went through all of the same emotions that Tyler sang in Igor.
Cherry bomb is easily my #1 the transitions between the songs, especially on the physical version of "Blow my load" into "2Seater" will always give me goose bumps Loved the list tho! :)
my personal favorite is pilot, when the beat and tone shifts to that nice flowerboy sounding music you can definitely tell that is what inspired flowerboy and igor
I broke up with my ex (we've had a relationship that lasted 4 years) and in the year before the breakup my mom died of cancer, I heard tyler but i wasn't a fan since i didn't even like rap and hip hop or even soul (at the time). Then IGOR came into my life in the form of "puppet" and fuck thst album helped me deal with my grief and all the anger got lost with bastard, every album i heard after IGOR it was a little piece of heaven and since then I've been in love with the music this man produces. My entire look at life changed and my music taste was more open and i will always be grateful to Tyler even if it was just a song that popped up in my for you page in spotify. He really can change someone's life and mind by just saying fuck and the next verse be about a breakup or losing someone dear to you.
honestly i love all of tyler’s music; i love when he’s being raw and angry like in his earlier albums but i also love the beauty of his newer music and how everything he does is always different it’s just gorgeous
Flower Boy is a personal favorite. I’ve been looking back on what i’ve done in the past, who i’ve hurt, and what my life amounts to now, and that it’s okay that things aren’t the way they were before. This album really helped me with these revelations.
I just found Tyler within the last year or so, Igor was my first album I listened to by him, and I’ve taken my time to listen to the rest of his discography. I’ve watched hours of content about him, live performances, interviews, the video J Aubrey did on him, and obviously this video is included in that, and he’s honestly a creative musical genius and I love his work so much.
Going to any of camp flog gnaw tours back then were different than when I plan to see him again in march. Loved him since 2013 in highschool fit the mood and I also matured along with him. So amazing
I love how in each phase of my life tyler came out with an album that seemed like it was just for me. During my phase of self exploration flower boy dropped. During a toxic relationship I listened to igor. Now that I've found some sort of peace, cmiygl dropped not to long ago. It's really an amazing experience.
Ok hear me out. Goblin is my favorite album from Tyler. And before I hear "oh ur just a little edge lord" that is not the case. I think that Tyler reflects a bit more on a wider range of topics than bastard and like said in the video about it showing where his head was at the time I think is amazing. The over all sound I think is good too if u listen from a more casual stand point, raspy and loud enough to get that cut throat sound and hard hitting rapping. Over all I really love this album.
that’s TOTALLY fair! even tho it’s my personal least favorite i still have a lot of love for it and it’s a really nostalgic album for me. it’s a product of its time so we can’t really judge it for the language but i def agree with you
I like listening for the context of Tyler at the time, the mental state and fears of a 19 year old sad and angsty teen with no father. And the story too oh my god, and how it ties into the wolf trilogy and the arch.
Personal ranking 1: IGOR (10/10) 2: Flower Boy (10/10) 3: Call Me If You Get Lost (9/10) 4: Cherry Bomb (8/10) 5: Wolf (8/10) 6: Bastard (7/10) 7: Goblin (5/10)
This isn't even really related to the content but I love how the intro scene & background music throughout are all from LoZ, that's an automatic like from me dawg
I agree with your ranking. God, I wish I could go to one of his concerts, but my mother has it in her head that every single rapper’s concert has everyone smoking weed in it.
Your video quality is amazing tbh and this is such a cool video to see about tyler. Good luck in the future I hope your channel grows bc it deserves it tbh
bro i cannot believe Session was the lowest ranked track off of Bastard. with Bastard being my favorite semi-commercial release by T, it’s in my top 3 tracks from that record.
I discovered Tyler in spring of 2019 when my brother played yonkers to feel edgy then I got hooked my first albums were Igor and flower boy I listened to them at the same time
Ngl, when lined up like that, I get a real Kanye vibe from Tyler's discography, His covers just have that variety when it comes to color and asthetic. Also for me Flower Boy Wolf IGOR CMIYGL Bastard Goblin Cherry Bomb
that bar you brought up in garden shed is honestly so fucking accurate to my feelings trying to figure out my sexuality. constantly feeling like there is something wrong. thinking that its just a phase, and that i shouldnt say anything cause itll just change in a year or two. never wanting to bring it up because your afraid everyone will just treat you differently for it. its also a fucking banger lol
I may disagree with the album placement absolutely, but the positivity and negativity presented for each album is something i agree with. Anyways, great video, but i still think my list from worst to best is: Cherry Bomb -> Goblin -> Igor -> Bastard -> Flower Boy -> Wolf -> CMIYGL And yes, I think Bastard barely beats Igor but the CMIYGL beating Wolf is so very very close. My favorite songs on Wolf beat the songs on CMIYGL but wolf's biggest downfall are Jamba and Pigs. CMIYGL has no real "worst songs" but Wilshire is my least favorite, and that beats jamba and pigs. But i always change my answer to this question around many many many times
i remember when yonkers was released he was kind of small but he held his first concert at a mini theatre. I was so excited to go. I cant tell you how much blunts were offered to me as a 16 year old kid 😅😂
I got to see Tyler the Creator live at OutsideLands, my first concert experience and oh boy, that was honestly life changing. I got introduced to Tyler with Igor, yes I am an Igor Baby. After that, I started to really vibe with Flowerboy and some Wolf. I personally did try to listen to Goblin, Wolf, and Cherry Bomb, but only a few select songs like Rusty, She, Yonkers, stood out to me. I think, with me currently still reeling over my hype for seeing him live up close, I do find myself loving Flowerboy, Igor, then CMIYGL. It was the first album that I really got into, and was excited to listen to when it released. I thought you wanted to dance, Corso, and Wilshire are my personal favorite songs in the album. What I find so interesting about him is that he really does represent the youth of yesteryear. Like sure he’s 30, but he exudes energy that matches us early 2000 babies, when he was on stage talking, he felt genuine with no bullshit, just trying make conversation while acknowledging his own personal achievements. He said on stage that Flowerboy was really the album that changed things, and he acknowledged his controversy back when he started, during the Cherry Bomb period. I can’t really imagine another album after this because Wilshire was just the final piece to the puzzle that everyone wanted to know. I know he’ll mmmm continue, and as much as I want to keep my expectations low, somehow I think that’s impossible. Great list, really does reflect a lot of people’s feelings about Tyler too, including me. Subbed.
Putting wolf under flower boy is criminal. Wolf is an amazing rap piece that showed that didn’t have to be hate women love drugs. It’s a goofy album that makes me smile
BRO DIDNT TALK ABOUT HOW GOOD JUGGERNAUT IS BUT PUT ON HIS TOP 3 but can we appreciate Uzis verse on juggernaut cuz I feel like I'm floating listening to that shit
bro BIG respect on you for pointing out the difference between "best" lists and your personal favorites. I feel like everyone tries to hide behind "that's just my opinion" on these kind of lists without giving well thought out reasons for why they think that music is better, and I love that you can differentiate between what you prefer and what is just technically better music, as I do the same thing. I'll listen to a whole album and think "wow, that's one of the best albums I've ever heard, 10/10!" and not put it on any playlist of stuff I casually listen to cause it's just not my taste, but that doesn't mean it's not FANTASTIC
I had to rewind that section talking about smuckers because of how distracted I was by Dearly Beloved in the back lol. I thought some other device of mine was going off or something. This is a pretty solid ranking. I wouldn't do much changing; I feel like it's so easy to see how much Tyler has grown, so every ranking basically comes to the same consensus. He's just a great artist.
I honestly think that there are no bad songs on call me if you get lost (my opinion) and that’s why it is my favourite. I haven’t listened to all the songs on flower boy yet so it may change.
It's so common people rank Goblin below Bastard, but honestly I would switch them. While Bastard has an amazing first 5 song run from Bastard to Blow, after that the beats start to lack variation and they all have that 'old Tyler beat' style of just being the same slow maj7 chord synth progressions, from that point on no song really stands out to me except Sarah and obviously the troll song Tina. I know people like Inglorious but it just doesn't hit for me. A lot of the lyrical content is similar too and it starts to feel contrived. I feel like Bastard could have just been an EP with maybe 5 - 8 songs rather than a full album. Goblin on the other hand has a strong start with the title track (The percussion and strings fit nicely for the "therapist" concept) Bastard is a great track as well, but the lack of percussion does get boring after a while. The song bastard is basically a character intro and just has random snippets of his life as verses, while the Goblin track feels more like a cohesive story (And the album as a whole too). Goblin has more variation in the production (A non Tyler produced track, Analog, the last third of Radicals, AU79) Like... the run from Goblin to Tron Cat is so solid (bar Transylvania but after a while the lyrics/ flow and hook grows on you) I enjoy the aggression on B.S.D (and it's much better than Tina for a 'troll track'). Nightmare may just be one of the best songs on his discography, let alone the album (that third verse). Tron cat is just crazy, creative and fun and those chords are really nice, 'She' is obviously amazing and showed that Tyler knew how to correctly utilize a singers range for a catchy hook. Burger has a great beat, Sandwiches gave us that crazy Jimmy Fallon performance, Golden has a really good lyrical call and response between Dr. TC and Tyler, you can really "feel" the chaos of the breakdown. The album generally has more focus, story, tighter more advanced production, more aggression, and more of that 'inspirational, be yourself' Tyler than Bastard ever had. (Those refrain sections on Radicals).
My personal listing would be 1. Flower Boy 10 2. Call Me if You Get Lost 9 3. Igor 9 4. Wolf 8 5. Cherry Bomb 8 6. Bastard 6 7. Goblin 5 Subject to change as they always have with music.

@@A.N.T916 i could understand why you feel that way. honestly i feel like IGOR is an entirely different breed and is Tyler’s magnum opus
@@andyjohnsonnn yes it is definitely his Magnum Opus. Like, Flowerboy and Igor are both 10/10 imo, but Igor is still like levels better
FINALLY SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES CHERRY BOMB, THANK YOU❤️
Appreciated it by putting it near the very bottom
IGOR is one of the albums that I come out with a new favorite song from every time I listen to it
It's really a beauty
dude you are great. your video explaining the iceberg had a major part in me getting into tyler back in may, and here i am 6 months later singing every song that comes on at the top of my lungs
thanks so much!!
Yoo I love these kinda videos. Your personality and editing is so entertaining. Keep up the good work!
thanks so much!
Wolf being that low is crazy
Wolf is buns fucking cry about it
Cherry bomb is easily my #1 the transitions between the songs, especially on the physical version of "Blow my load" into "2Seater" will always give me goose bumps Loved the list tho! :)
Over Igor?
@@Discordkitten2 yeah… Igor is easily #2 and they’re very close in ranking in my mind but something about cherry bomb really speaks to me :)
my personal favorite is pilot, when the beat and tone shifts to that nice flowerboy sounding music you can definitely tell that is what inspired flowerboy and igor
My personal ranking:
1. Igor
2. Flower Boy
3. Call Me If You Get Lost
4. Wolf
5. Bastard
6. Cherry Bomb
7. Goblin

@@faguettee fr dawg goblin is my fav album 💔
@@sebc.416 it's his opinion and you can't change it
agreed
He really can change someone's life and mind by just saying fuck and the next verse be about a breakup or losing someone dear to you.
holy shit this video is so good man. the editing is perfect and funny, and i was really enjoying myself the whole time. keep making great content!
thank you so much!
This album ranking is perfect. Probably one of the few i’ve seen from any artist i 100% agree with
Music at 6:49 got me nostalgic of my favourite video game of all time
honestly i love all of tyler’s music; i love when he’s being raw and angry like in his earlier albums but i also love the beauty of his newer music and how everything he does is always different it’s just gorgeous
So amazing
My list off of favorites
7. Cherry bomb
6. Flower Boy
5. Call me if you get lost
4. Bas**rd
3. Igor
2. Goblin
1. Wolf
man you deserve sooooo many more subs. didnt know that u was the guy who made the tyler iceberg i watched awhile back. love u dude!
Over all I really love this album.
that’s TOTALLY fair! even tho it’s my personal least favorite i still have a lot of love for it and it’s a really nostalgic album for me. it’s a product of its time so we can’t really judge it for the language but i def agree with you
Goblin is underrated
I like listening for the context of Tyler at the time, the mental state and fears of a 19 year old sad and angsty teen with no father. And the story too oh my god, and how it ties into the wolf trilogy and the arch.
@@Spliffted YES! the album is very vulnerable but thats whats great about it
even Tyler thinks that shit is bad now lmao
Personal ranking
1: IGOR (10/10)
2: Flower Boy (10/10)
3: Call Me If You Get Lost (9/10)
4: Cherry Bomb (8/10)
5: Wolf (8/10)
6: Bastard (7/10)
7: Goblin (5/10)
cherry bomb and wolf should defo be a 10/10
perfect
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh
I totally agree
love it! its so refreshing to just hear someone appreciate this GOAT idk a lot of ppl that do personally so yea...
20:56 fun fact: we were in basic training when this album dropped, and this meme is how we found out tyler dropped
cherry bomb is one of my favorite albums from tyler i don’t see why people hate on it so much
I though you had thousands of subs, quality content keep it up
This isn't even really related to the content but I love how the intro scene & background music throughout are all from LoZ, that's an automatic like from me dawg
I love this editing and your video man keep it up!
This was an amazing video. I especially appreciate what you said at 6:50 about favorites vs best. You rock!!
I agree with your ranking. God, I wish I could go to one of his concerts, but my mother has it in her head that every single rapper’s concert has everyone smoking weed in it.
Window being your last song on goblin hurt me so much 😭😭 * This is such a great video dude, keep it up!!!!*
How does this not have more views this vid is so good
Bro these album intros you using be killing me 😂
Your video quality is amazing tbh and this is such a cool video to see about tyler. Good luck in the future I hope your channel grows bc it deserves it tbh
thank you!!
bro i cannot believe Session was the lowest ranked track off of Bastard. with Bastard being my favorite semi-commercial release by T, it’s in my top 3 tracks from that record.
Great video!
My placement would be
7. Bastard
6. Goblin
5. Call me if you get lost
4. Cherry Bomb
3. Wolf
2. Flower Boy
1. Igor
same exact ranking!!!!!!
Omg this is my ranking as well so hype. I can't wait to see what Tyler has in store.
Also for me
Flower Boy
Wolf
IGOR
CMIYGL
Bastard
Goblin
Cherry Bomb
solid list!
Everyone hating on cherry bomb smh
same
that bar you brought up in garden shed is honestly so fucking accurate to my feelings trying to figure out my sexuality. constantly feeling like there is something wrong. thinking that its just a phase, and that i shouldnt say anything cause itll just change in a year or two. never wanting to bring it up because your afraid everyone will just treat you differently for it. its also a fucking banger lol
Been waiting for this one
I may disagree with the album placement absolutely, but the positivity and negativity presented for each album is something i agree with. Anyways, great video, but i still think my list from worst to best is:
Cherry Bomb -> Goblin -> Igor -> Bastard -> Flower Boy -> Wolf -> CMIYGL
And yes, I think Bastard barely beats Igor but the CMIYGL beating Wolf is so very very close. My favorite songs on Wolf beat the songs on CMIYGL but wolf's biggest downfall are Jamba and Pigs. CMIYGL has no real "worst songs" but Wilshire is my least favorite, and that beats jamba and pigs. But i always change my answer to this question around many many many times
grinch ep?
i remember when yonkers was released he was kind of small but he held his first concert at a mini theatre. I was so excited to go. I cant tell you how much blunts were offered to me as a 16 year old kid 😅😂
This ranking is actually perfect
Subbed.
Are those songs your favourite due to the melody and chords alone?
All albums are beautiful. Especially Goblin, Igor, and flowerboy
Dope video! Please do a Kanye ranking since Donda just dropped.
def planning on it in the coming months!
I got kinda scared thinking you were like my future version or something because our opinions about Tyler's discography are identical.
but kind sir. You forgot the best one
the grinch soundtrack
You forgot Tyler’s best album, music inspired by illumination and dr Seuss’ the grinch
This is the most genuine and accurate ranking/critique I’ve ever heard. Thank you
thank YOU
Putting wolf under flower boy is criminal. Wolf is an amazing rap piece that showed that didn’t have to be hate women love drugs. It’s a goofy album that makes me smile
My Personal Ranking:
1. Flower Boy
2.Wolf
3.Igor
4.Cherry Bomb
5.CMIYGL
6.Bastard
7.Goblin

why is cmiygl getting ranked surprisingly low in the comments
Why don’t anyone like goblin 😞

I’m literally in love with you for liking corso and wilshire
Great video. For me it’s:
1: Flower Boy
2: Igor
3: CMIYGl
4: Cherry Bomb
5: Wolf
6: Bastard
7: Goblin

I thought this vid was made by a million subs plus creator but bro you are so underrated in your work!!! Awesome vid
thanks so much!

LMAO😭😭🙏
bro go the best editing quality while keeping it funny
Yo someone needs to take that zelda trqck and say ok yeah ocarina I know this needs to be sampled
This video is why I'm proud to be a Tyler fan.
Cherry Bomb still sounds so shifty.
I honestly think that there are no bad songs on call me if you get lost (my opinion) and that’s why it is my favourite. I haven’t listened to all the songs on flower boy yet so it may change.
I have a emotional attachment to "ARE WE STILL FRIENDS"
My personal listing would be
1. Flower Boy 10
2. Call Me if You Get Lost 9
3. Igor 9
4. Wolf 8
5. Cherry Bomb 8
6. Bastard 6
7. Goblin 5
Subject to change as they always have with music.
solid list! pretty similar!

Cherry bombs title track literally has one of the best and most underatted bridges in all of tyler the creators discography you cant change my mind
