The piece you left in the vice after cutting should be threaded for the the next man or for your next piece. Please don't keep switching between mm and cm. Everything on site is measured in mm. On site you would use a pre cut nipple between the rad valve and the top pipe.

Is hemp and jointing compound not more preferable than PTFE tape?
PTFE tape is for threaded LCS
