People have no idea how rare and life threatening this condition is. That nurse and the ECMO team did a heroic and amazing job in saving this young woman’s life. Truly incredible.

Amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) is a rare and life-threatening condition that can pose complications during childbirth. Read about one Jefferson patient’s experience with AFE, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy, and how she is recovering: www.jeffersonhealth.org/your-health/living-well/new-mother-recovers-thanks-to-ecmo?
