He charged around $380, but he was a guy that did small jobs here and there and worked for an apartment complex. A company will more than likely charge you more, so look around for a buddy or someone who knows a guy that's certified, but willing to take on the job at a low cost to you.
I hear that. We actually moved and still have our manual in the garage, but ran our line through the wall and we swap out the clothes drier with our screen printing drier. We need to add a dedicated line, but this works for now.
What drier do you have? If you have the Scamp like in this video, you actually can swap the plug out to a 110, if its the 120v version, and it'll hold just fine with only the drier going.
Mikey Designs & Silk Screen I currently only own a flash. Working on saving up for a conveyer though, not entirely sure which to settle on just yet but the ones I liked the most were all 220, so I’ll def need to retrofit my garage with the proper electrical.
FAITHonHIGH Thank you! Try turning your heater on HI, leave the heating element about 3" off the belt and turn the speed to about 22-24. Check to be sure your ink reaches at least 340º. Generally it comes out at about 380º with the settings I mentioned.
Check out my review of the #Ranar #dx200 for all you #screenprinters #screenprinting #tshirts at home.
Thanks for replying to all of my questions....that's ok. I'll just keep up with your videos
Nice little machine Matt...Thanks!
haylittlejimmy Thank you!
Great video by the way. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Ink is this is a old video but do you recall doing Polly shirts through the dryer. I Scortched my first real good. Haven’t tried it since on Polly
We did poly shirts through this drier. Just use a low cure ink, don't let them get too hot and you'll be fine.
I'm planning to pick this up from Catspit next month. Do you use the temp gun to check ink while shirts are running through?
Definitely! At least for the first shirt while it's to temp.
Hey Matt, do you recall how much your electrician charged you to install 220v in your garage?

Mikey Designs & Silk Screen cool. Just wondering what a ballpark price might be. I need to do the same to my garage as well.

Where can I find replacement heating element for this dryer?? I have same one
I'd reach out to Ranar or Jonathan at Catspit to see. I'm sure they could help out.
Would you still recommend this for those starting out?
Definitely! I wish I kept it for trade shows, but I didn't have the space for it, so I sold it.
Great video mic key what's the best settings just got mine few days ago
Thanks brother

which brand heavy duty extension cord do you use?
I don't recall, but I got it from Lowes. Was around $100 and for 115v.
Thanks will do
There is no ventilation on this dryer?
No ventilation.
This is a nice unit.
It definitely is. I wish I had kept it, but need the room and money at one point.
will you be making a video on hats?
+Yesi C I won't be making a video on hats with this particular dryer. I've since upgraded. Would you like to see one on how to use any drier?
Did you upgrade to another Ranar perhaps the CureStar 4000. I am considering this move. Do you have any ideas on the CureStar4000?
