That's cool! You did an excellent job of explaining the break down. Looking forward to seeing this one finished out. I love seeing different projects like this and good for you taking it on so that it doesn't just go to some idiot.

Thanks, I like a bit of variety in the shed. Going to give the stock a rub down and new coat of oil but not going over the top, if I can get it to shoot a pellet more than a yard it'll be a win.

Cheers, it had definitely seen better days! It was a fun project and is taking a well earned retirement now.

Hello Alex, That air rifle looks like a 12 gauge shot gun single barrel, my family had one from years ago. . If you can't find any packing, maybe you could make some from leather. Thats going to be a fun restoration. Looking forward to the finish. I noticed there were 4 or 5 notches on the stock. Do you think that could have been from previous kills made with the air gun. Good luck with it.

Hi Dale, i agree, it does look like a mini shot gun. Great minds think alike, I managed to order some assorted leather discs off Ebay for next to nothing, think I might give it a smarten up while I'm at it. I did wonder about the notches myself, though they might have been for extra grip but I highly doubt kick back will be too much of a problem 😁
