Here is a link to the one in the video. www.mfgsupply.com/8000-1306.html?source=googleps. I don't remember it being this exspensive, but this is the only option for one I have found. I think I payed around $40, but now it's gone up in price alot.
Nothing wrong with your video, but that is not a great place for the hitch to mount. All the tongue weight would go into the caliper mount bracket, which is hung on the end of the aluminum adjustable bearing carrier with a circlip, which is not very strong at all. That caliper mount also needs to move when adjusting the chain, so you would have to loosen the skid plate/hitch bolts every time you adjust the chain.
@@Nerfamus Ironically, I went the other extreme, I made a smooth skidplate out of stainless steel, with a hitch as part of it, and straddled the chain adjuster allen bolts for more support. I was pulling a 16' fiberglas boat up to the house, with a bunch of water in it. 30 plus years ago, on a 1988 250X. The hitch held, but the axle bent and I had to get it straightened. I later put the skidplate on a 300EX. I still have most of the 250X fourwheeler, but sold the skidplate hitch with the 300EX. My son just picked up a 300EX, so I'm looking for a hitch again. Thinking I'll build my own, again.
I really appreciate you posting this, because I’m getting a mount and didn’t have a clue how to do it
Thanks, when I did this there were no videos out there on a hitch for this fourwheeler. Figured I would help someone out.
Does the Mount work on a TRX400EX
Here is a link to one I found on ebay

Where did you get the mount and how much

What is the towing capacity of that
I beleive 400 pounds, but I don't reccomend going that high.

I certainly wouldn't reccomend pulling anything too heavy with it. Heaviest thing it pulls is a log splitter, but even that is a bit much.

@@shsavvy got a picture of your tow bracket?
Yeah this one in the video has totally failed now because of pulling that log splitter unfortunately
