Yes, it could. PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, somatic symptom disorder, adjustment disorder, etc. are ALL rated under the Mental schedule. You can get awarded 0% to 100% for each. However, you cannot , for example, combine any of those conditions to get to 100%. The best strategy is to get 100% P&T for one of those conditions since they are rated the same. Hello , concerning secondary condition, can ED also be attributed to a Lower Back Condition? Or is ED more likely to occur secondary to PTSD amongst military veterans ?
Some veterans may have spinal disorders that can be related to ED. I cannot really say what is more prevalent as there are no studies that I am aware of that have compared the two in veteran populations.
If one suffer from female sexual disorder would it be filed as secondary to PTSD or for the medications taken (sertraline and MIRTAZAPINE). If claiming medication as cause with other sc, do you need complaints or what. I received both sertaline and Viagra but don't have current dx had one previously.
Hi sir there are no black and white answer to these types of questions as each case is specific to the individual veteran
Great Info, Once again! Is IBS and GERD an example of pyramiding? I have 1 rated and a diagnosis for the other, which I am afraid to submit. TIA 😊
Yes those are often conditions that are considered pyramiding but it is best to follow up with a legal professional on your specific circumstances.
I recently applied for sleep apnea secondary to s/c anxiety due to weight gain and was denied. Attached several pieces of literature I claim regarding weight gain being linked to to the particular meds I've been on to treat my anxiety and they stated it was irrelevant and how sleep apnea is a physical condition.
I am sorry to hear this sir. Hopefully you can get that denial turned around
@@prestigeveteranmedical would you be able to help me get it approved?
We do not assist with the appeals process because only legal professionals do that. If you are specifically looking for a medical opinion letter/nexus letter we may be able to assist with that. If you would like to email us at info@prestigeveteranmctx.com we can get you some info @@russ92x1
I strongly recommend her. My situation for sleep apnea was exactly the same as yours. I was denied twice. Thanks to her I was finally awarded.
Thank you so very much for the awesome feedback sir!@@hrobbins
Does anyone have a movement disorder from being in Iraq? I have 24 disorders that cause severe pain. The VA wants you to get intervention pain management, which one of my other doctors said don't do it and horror stories as why..
I am sorry to hear this. Thank you for watching
43.8 as per DSM from service injury not taken care of by the VA due to the DOD lost medical records. Then have The second letter for PTSD changed to 43.8 from PTSD both are from of PTSD 43.8 is PTSD R/T non tx due to VA/ DOD lost medical records.
I am sorry to hear this. Thank you for watching!
The VA is now connecting Autoimmune Disease to PTSD, but I would like more information on that.
For sure! Will work on this

Hi, I am currently rated at a 80%. I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 9/2022. I fell into a deep depression and did not file anything then. Now, I am going through some post surgery issues like lymphedema. Is it too late to start any filing process?
I am sorry to hear this. You may want to discuss this with a legal professional for specific insights to your case. Thank you for watching and best of luck
Great info
Thank you for watching!!
I'm getting ready to check your site out because i need some nexus letters
Sounds great looking forward to hearing from you
Good info, thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
If one suffer from female sexual disorder would it be filed as secondary to PTSD or for the medications taken (sertraline and MIRTAZAPINE). If it’s medication as secondary would a GYN need to link the condition (type of evidence) Never did a secondary claim so any info would greatly be appreciated 🙏. Thank you so much for great information in your videos!
Many veterans are service connected for this related to their mental health disorders. Every case is different. This diagnosis does not have to come from a gynecologist, many different types of doctors, nurse practioners and PA's are trained to diagnose the condition. I hope this clarifies and best of luck to you!!
Hey Leah! I was recently told that if I claim radiculopathy in both legs as a secondary to my rated lower back condition that it won’t qualify for the bilateral factor because the sciatica is not directly service related. Is this true? Seems far fetched.
Yikes that is tough. That does not make sense to me but I am not the legal expert. Please let me know if you find out. Wish I had a better answer. Thank you for watching.
KOREA D.M.Z HOWITZER BLEW UP I WAS THERE, ALSO ALMOST FELL TO MY DEATH OFF OF A BRIDGE. MY LIFE FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES EVERYTHING WAS MOVING IN SLOW MOTION, NOW I HAVE CRAZY DREAMS ABOUT IT EVER SINCE... NEVER GOES AWAY... HAVE SOUGHT OUT HELP FROM THE V.A. I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED AS HAVING MILITARY RELATED PTSD but I'm not service-connected for it even though I have many symptoms and a diagnosis.
it's tough dealing with it but either way. keep seeking treatment ladies and gents..

having 50% PTSD, can a person still claim Generalized anxiety disorder?
Hi sir you wiil want to ask this to a legal professional as I do not assist with the filling process. Thank you for watching
I have 70% PTSD, unfortunately you can not have 2 claims for mental disorder. They choose the greater of the 2. I've had anxiety through the VA at 50%. I went to get an increase and they switched it to ptsd and 70%. I asked them why I don't have both and that's when I found out they only allowed one mental disability. Hope this helps
How do I contact your company?
please email us at info@prestigeveteranmctx.com
I checked off all the boxes you mentioned, I have migraines, very bad headaches, ED from zolof and gird and ibs. I may have sleep apnea because I never feel fully rested and I've gained weight with flat footed. Now I just need help to file a claim.
I am sorry to hear this! Have you gotten with your local VSO? They should be able to help you file your claim
@@prestigeveteranmedicalI've spoken to the local v.a about a list of other things. I'm going to add what you mentioned in this video. :) thanks for the video.

@@prestigeveteranmedical what are your thoughts about high alert ? I don't see that question on the DBQ.

The va has denied my claim twice because the male doctor didn't believe thst my migraines are linked to ptsd but said it was my hormones.

Is PTSD and Insomnia consider a pyramid or can you claim Insomina secondary to PTSD?
You would def want to check with a legal professional on this sir but most often they are rated together yes.
