The tension leading up to the bridge still gives me the same goosebumps it did when I was a teenager all those years ago. This song was played at almost every street bash (block party) in South Africa. All those times I sneaked out just to hear nothing but house music linger in my mind. Thank you Julien for such an amazing record.
The first time I heard this track was 2006 in Durban SA my god I didn't know anything about house music I was just a kid come from somali' hearing this masterpiece made me fall in love with house music to this day' classic old is gold
Here in the UK, heard this first in my Mini Cooper S Checkmate in 2006. Driving on the continent and got to 130mph listening to this. Fast forward 18 years and still love it and that car.
It's 12:19 AM. If you want a strong nostalgia, play this banger during midnight. There's something so relatable about it in this wee hour. It's a beautiful reminder of those young, fun and peaceful years of the early 2000s, and a beautiful reminder of how those years were simple - no Tiktok, Facebook, no touch screen phones, no selfies, no Instagram. Such a timeless song and it still sounds fresh.
Reminds me of my home sitting days, when all my peers were at university, some working, some visiting their aunties in the city of gold, leaving me wondering where my life is gonna end up. Till I get a brake through thanks to my ancsestors and the almighty 🤲🏼🙏🏾
@@cherls15 This was one of the biggest songs in SA at the time, when house music was the biggest music genre in the country. So many great memories are attached to this song for a lot South Africans. It was a relatively positive time, we were a fairly new democracy with so much hope and positivity. Black youth were free and could express themselves through house music. We embraced the genre on a deep spiritual level in South Africa and a lot of international DJs who came here can attest to that.
This song takes you to the time you didn't think you might be listening to this song in later years. Here you are, a loyal house fan. memories carry us to the future so we can presently look back to the past.
Simplicity at its absolute finest. 15yr young 🤷🏼♂️ will always be fresh and pinoeer of true true true organic HOUSE music. Defo top 5 of my all time tunes. Keep on swimmin
Love this track I pulled out one of my old CD's Ibiza Annual 2006. I have not heard this in a long time. It reminds me of my Mother when she was alive she loved this song. She died in Dec. 26,2006.
Now we're in 2023 still rocking this jam, it reminds me my cousins mk1 velocity we use to rock this track cruising around Amanzimtoti Beach in 2011 gone are those days.
The way this track still touches me even in 2021 when I listen to it tears just fall, thats how it touches my heart. I still feel like back 16 years ago when I used to get so wasted like it was my last days on earth 🙆♂️❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥👌
Back then when it felt like I had a loving wife at age 11 Back when a good Sunset felt eternal Back when Primary felt like a goddamn soap opera Back when Y Fm used to mean something
Com' on let's hold hands and say this prayer all together "Through Gods grace and fellowship of loving men , bless HOUSE MUSIC now and forever more ❤... amen "
I'm 19 and I wish I could have been born 10-15 years earlier to experience this but luckily Sam devine introduced me to this beautiful bargroves track that is swimming places

Old school house marathon. Every one of these tracks I play bring back a specific memory of a specific place with specific people and specific emotions 💥.
A weekend in 2021 they were playing this lovely Jam and i just got lost in the music 🎵 been looking for it and here I am to dent the comment section. I just can't get over the timeless pieces that went into the creation.
You cannot go a year without visiting this song, this song shall forever have a place in my heart... Been listening to it since my early teen years and it still hit the spot. A timeless classic.
If you’re listening to this in 2024/5 you’re a legend ❤️🔥
