The AT Gold helps me distinguish between small targets in highly mineralized creeks like no other detector I've tried. Once I started to set it up properly the sounds it makes really helps pinpoint the small targets in creeks full of iron. It stopped me over a .16 gold picker I was blown away. Also looks like an East Coast creek, I'm mostly in Virginia and I see the all the same minerals. Keep it up guys!
I picked up the AT Gold a few months ago. My biggest issue is the Coil. If I literally touch anything with it, it will sound off. If I hit a weed or barley touch a rock the thing goes off. I’ve TH-camd dozens of videos to try and learn this thing. And I’m basically to the point where I don’t trust it, unfortunately. Also, I live in northern Idaho and the grounds here are fairly mineralized so the sensitivity is turned down, but at what cost? Wish I could enjoy a bit more. That’s for damn sure. Awesome video guys👍
I have been detecting gold 38 years in detected many thousands of nuggets. Gold doesn't like to sit on top especially around water either there are many many nuggets there or somebody's pulling someone's leg

I was wondering why the dirt was getting hung up while you were planning it out , at first I thought it was because it may not have been completely wet , but when you mentioned clay I could see how it would hold the dirt .
You can only use a detector on your claims most of our claims where we find pickers and nuggets are hard to reach right now because of snow or the logging roads to get there are covered in ice. We will as soon as we can.
I think all arounf the Garrett is a better detector.. I have the original Gold Bug and my best find with it was a 2 1/2 gram nugget. I wish I lived north of our border with Canada, I'd be out like you guys everyday.
I spent quite a bit of time in Rivers Inlet, BC but never looked for gold. Looking back there was a lot of quartz and black sand in the rivers. There were some large canneries there at the turn of the century. Do you know anything about that area? Historically was there much activity or interest there? I'm really curious about that. I live in Sooke. BC. Thanks. :)
Wow now your in business, metal detecting for chunky gold, pannning the richest creeks an rivers around an mining your a all around mad man! Love it.... I can’t wait to see what you guys packed up for the channels collab segment! I can’t wait for the next hunt! Good luck 🍀 guys
I have an ATGold also could you elaborate on the settings you use. My best find was in discrimination 1 mode, level29 iron discrim. I've heard on the small pickers they often give no level reading yet sound off the detector..I would like to know how you're is set and what it displays when you hit a picker
area46241 I've found many nuggets with my AT Gold and I only run in all metal mode, sensitivity as high as ground will allow, and only use discrimination mode to rule out Iron when I get close to the target. Gold numbers run in the 40 to 50's range but don't rely on this because it depends on size of gold and depth. Lead sounds the same as gold. Practice on your girls gold earrings at different depths and be sure to swing your coil slow and close to the ground. In gold bearing placer areas I dig all non-ferrous targets because the machine has been fooled more than once and if you use discriminate mode you will miss Small gold as often the numbers won't show on the display so, practice using your phone ears. Hope this helps and happy swinging
Use all metal mode, ground balance and adjust threshold until you have a slight consistent hum, run full sensitivity, move coil very very slowly -(not like the guy in this video), keep coil as low as possible (lower than the guy in this video), listen for the target and don’t expect a number value on very small gold unless it’s touching or almost touching the coil. Dig everything no matter how faint the signal and the AT Gold might surprise you, it’s a really great machine. Oh and don’t forget to recheck your holes
If u can I'd appreciate if u could tell the garret company that metal detectors should not detect signals above the metal detector the past 2 metal detectors I sent back to them to be replaced because of that have had bad magnets picking up a stronger signal above where it is suppose to search beneath it has a special coil I have my hand book to it still but when I call the repair place for them a woman tried to say that all metal detectors pick up a signal above them as well as beside not just beneath I'm upgrading to the next in line garret buy 92.3 is the number for pure silver any size I detected with my at garret gold
I don't think you totally understand the technology. Based on what I know about metal detectors and their design, it is not possible to differentiate signal returns between above & below the coil due to the way electromagnetic energy is emitted from coils of wire. It is possible to vary the RANGE of detection and the sensitivity to different metals by way of signal processing. Furthermore, the detector coils are NOT magnets, and the fact that you think that they are really indicates that you are speaking from a point of misunderstanding. Where exactly are you sticking your detector that you think you're getting signals from above the coil? If you're sticking the detection coil underneath something, then it's quite possible that you ARE detecting metal in whatever is above your coil, and your technique is at fault, NOT the detector. Also, I'd be far more likely to believe that someone working at a metal detector manufacturer is far more likely to know to the ins & outs than some random user, especially if the user is NOT an electronic engineer, which are the people who design metal detectors.
We don't other than to a few people in large quantities, one of the sellers who bought us our detector we have his link in the description most of what he sells comes from our claims.
A couple of waterproof pulse induction gold detectors are the Garrett ATX and Minelab SDC 2300.

One was sitting on a leaf, the other in the video is on bedrock, we found 2 others both on a clay layer.

I like your demonstration of faith in the durability of your detector. Garrett should like it too, if they have any marketing savvy at all.

Awesome video I can't believe you guys have so many different places around there that have good gold in it I drool for places like that
It's taken them a long time to find them!
@@911mining soooo cool guys hard work pays off for sure
Thank you
Ooooh...Shiny! Isn't this the place you found gold in the Moss?
Different place 👍
i have an at gold...great prospecting tool !!!
nice nice thanks for sharing
I see you have the small nugget coil on it.
Start out small, then go big!
@@911mining I have a big too, it's a minelab "Eureka"
This kind of stuff has gotta be in Canada
Yes sir
Fantastic
Where ever you find gold you should pan...
Nice👍 love the panning videos! do u make many sluicing videos?
You can't sluice in BC. You can high bank but there restrictions on most of the places we go which make it hard eventually we will though

Not realistic at all. Lol especially the one were the gold looks like painted river rock

It says it Evan has a special coil that allows the search be centered in the middle of the detector
