"Stay calmer when you want to harm a llama, call a llama farmer!"
I had to replay that like six times-
I read this as I got to it.
I'm so happy people remembered that tbh XD
@@aeaeeaeae You know there's a two-hour version of just that line on TH-cam, don't you? My son found it, and decided to have it on as background music one time while he did his history homework.... trust me, that'll cure your addiction to it before you're even ten minutes in!
@@aeaeeaeae I’m glad I’m not the only one
When people wonder why the English have such great humour it’s because we were raised with this gold.

My absolute favourite, that never fails to make me laugh, is Death in Stupid Deaths and his treatment of Skeleton Louie Walsh: "Oh SHUT UP LOUIE!!" **punches Louie's wig off his head.**
Then says who would of thought that
That's my fav too! But also a 'squeeze de lemon' fan 😂

I never knew that “peasant joke” thing was from Horrible Histories.
Everyone should use this line after getting paid(until you're broke again😭)
“What’s his name?”
“Watt Tyler”
“What? Tyler?”
What was his name?
@@reggiereggiesauce5755 what? I think it was Tyler
I had a funny dream where there was someone named Tyler
Hmmm we should tell who and wherefore.
this sparks joy :)))
Thanks :)
Yeah
the new one dose not spark joy
edit: im referring to the new HH series with the new cast
@@imbored3063 is mat still in it?
@@Julia33066 no none of the six idiots (the old cast) are in it
HH has also said:
William, William, Henry, Stephen,
Henry, Richard, John, oi!
Henry, Ed, Ed, Ed, Rich two,
Then three more Henrys join our song,
Edward, Edward, Rich the third,
Henry, Henry, Ed again,
Mary one, good Queen Bess,
Jimmy, Charles and Charles and then,
Jim, Will, Mary, Anna Gloria,
George, George, George, George,
Will, Victoria,
Edward, George, Edward, George six,
And Queen Liz two completes the mix!
I'm so glad I know the kings and queens of England.
Next it's the old kingdoms, who wants to help me write it?
You've must of listen to that song many times to actually memorize the complete chorus and all the monarchs of England.
Guess that means Charles the Third or whatever will follow after Elizabeth the Second in the future?
@@Cyberbrickmaster1986
Oh I know the entire song of by heart I just can’t be bothered to type the whole thing :-)
Now you know all the kings and queens since William the first that there have been!
@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 I say that it our duty HH fans across the internet to edit this song to add future monarchs
I love how with other “____ once said” videos the tweets will be like a little bit off, but for HH EVERYONE knows EXACTLY what the lines are
Jim Howick is a better Gregg Wallace than Gregg Wallace is himself. For some reason, that troubles me.
But has Jim Howick been remixed by Swedemason into a wholesome meme?
My mom actually refers to Gregg Wallace as "the one from horrible histories" or "I used to be a green grocer yknow"

Here is an embarrassing fact:
As a child I used to alway sing the “sitting in a tree rhyme” but it wasn’t until I was 17 I realised that the “K I S S I N G” spelt the Word “Kissing”. I always thought it was just random letters

If I had a nickel for every time I used that line in my upcoming video, I'd have two nickels.
My favourite that me and my sibling always quote
"Helen, you is well fit. Your face could launch a thousand ships, yeah?"
Haha love that line. They got that slightly wrong. In the Iliad, Helen of Troy's face is one that could launch 1,186 ships.
The 'thousand ships' thing is Christopher Marlowe's 1592 play 'Dr Faustus' rounding down the number.
"is this some sort of peasant joke that Im too rich to understand" that has so much potential
not anymore, it died like a year ago

can we just appreciate the three different ways people described the skinnymandria bit. 1:40
This video takes me back to the good days, horrible histories has gone down the hill without the old cast.
They left???? I haven't watched the show in so long :c
I didn’t know they still made it
@@elliswebster7041 it got rebooted after the original running ended. Well after though and certainly not to the same appeal as the original.
@Ellis Webster they rebooted it. I haven't seen all of the new HH. Whilst it's not unwatchable, it's definitely gone downhill. I think it's the cast being tied back by mediocre scripts etc. Like Kiell Smith-Bynoe is so much better working with the gang in Ghosts (as Mike) - which is also absolutely brilliant - than in the HH reboot
"You've been Artois' d"
I definitely heard something different the first time. Must be the French accent.
you've been a twA-
I was crying after failing a maths test big time and decided to see what my recommended brought up for me watch and laugh at. Thank you for making me laugh ❤️

Me when people said they have no idea what horrible histories is
0:13 I think this is the 1600s equivalent to "Alexa play something sad"
for your consideration: Jim and Larry corpsing over Mat's jester ''sCAtherINeHOward"
I read this as "jestering over Mat's corpse" and i was really concerned until i remembered what corpsing meant
This was so nostalgic, I found myself grinning through the whole thing, thanks for uploading this.
“Ahahahahah I’m so random” love the Roman come dine with me
elagabalus was the first ever quirky teenager
That's random 😂
"orchestra play something sad" is just the old version of "alexa play despacito"
Anyone else developed an intense interest in history and studied it at GCSE/A level because of horrible histories?
my sister once said horrible histories had no meme potential
i highly disagree
The whole thing is a meme lmao your sister was incredibly wrong
Isn't 'peasant joke I'm too rich too understand' one?
You should’ve replied with ‘is this some peasant joke that I’m too rich to understand?’
I’ve watched all of the original HH episodes on Netflix just for nostalgic reasons..

I was too old for TV Horrible Histories, read all the books as a kid. Watched a tiny bit as I got older, and found it so great. Love the clear Monty Python influence
this is the best video i have ever watched! thank you!!!
the weatherman bit was always one of my faves
I grew up with the Dutch version of this. It was not until this video that I found out they bloody stole it, my childhood is a lie. I’m gonna go cry now. Anyway awesome video mate.
the actual nostalgia I got from watching this...

Cant forget the classic
"My enormous buttus"
"Sir i dont think that was a real name"

how about "hello, i'm very very rich." THATS MY FAVOURITE PART OF THE WHOLE SHOW LMAO
I feel like people who didn’t grow up with this show can’t fully grasp how wack it was even in context and how almost every British child could recite a lot of the songs verbatim on command at one point
After all this time, I finally realized a Monty Python's holy grail reference in Horrible Histories.
