Finally some good advice how get stuff done. Unlike Bunnings videos
Not rong Bunnings brought the all purpose joint cement csr what a disappointment had to dig it all out as it was still wet under the gyp rock tape
Just use a professional
@@dannyfordham2346 Was that easyflow? Orange one?
My Dad was a builder. In days past the builder could do everything but on big or difficult jobs he got in the experienced guys. My Dads motto is do it right, do it once. My motto is if you don't need a degree to do it then google it. 😆
I'm surprised he doesn't start from the centre and work his way out to each end when applying tape... that would prevent the tape buckling or coming off...
Good video, thanks
Very informative thanks
Wow you get the roughest dude for your demos
Let's play detective: funds are missing, but we're on the case to get them back.
Very strange, I've hire a builder to do square set finish bulkheads in my house all around the ceiling, and on the square where the bulkhead meets the ceiling and the wall ( internal corners) he doesn't use a basecoat and tape like in the video. Instead he is using No more gap or "gap filler". Any thoughts on that? Is that acceptable?
it will fail faster then you can find his phone number to complain
its acceptable you wally
Good video
Why I am seeing ads on a product help page???
Is Gyprock availabe in the U.S.?
No
Isn’t called drywall in the US?
Have a go at the setting holy sh*t hahahahaha
Great thanks, now, how the hell do I do it if not this way? Instead of criticising how about educating?

This guy is rough as guts
That's more hassle then just giving it a skin coat
Thought so too. Was suggested to go that instead of plastering. Seems so much more hassle than just giving it a plaster coat.
That’s a chippy
This is horrible what a joke

The worst material for walls...very easy to damage!!
Why don’t they get people who know what they’re doing to demonstrate the correct techniques?
Because their hourly rate is way too expensive lol
Great thanks, now, how the hell do I do it if not this way? Some actually useful guidance would be great.
@@TheChardygirl007 the idea isn’t wrong, it’s just poor execution by the person doing it. th-cam.com/video/UJ17oTw0jkI/w-d-xo.html I’m a professional and this is one of the only blokes on TH-cam who I’d take notice of
I’ve subscribed to him but as I didn’t check notifications sooner I, of course, had already started plastering my niche and again of course, did it wrong. Now I see what I did wrong and it was, absolutely of effing course, right at the very start when I put the dry tape on without a skim coat first for it to stick to.
Welp. I’m just going to have to put another 49 layers of plaster on top to build it out and hope it doesn’t just crack and fall out anytime soon. I’m starting to wonder if basing my ability to do a whole bathroom on the success of a single wall niche is entirely wise but the smaller the budget it seems the fewer the choices. Thanks for the link, it’s nice to see an Aussie for a change.
@@TheChardygirl007 niches are certainly difficult for beginners so good luck haha. Let me know if you need any advice, I’d be more than happy to help you out
Wrong wrong wrong

Is this a joke that it not how you do jointing that was embarrassing
