Hello mam, as you are a professional in HR, so I have a question, I m an engineering graduate passed out in 2012, and I was working in non-technical domain from last 7 years, but I was always eager to work and make my career in IT only but I didn't get any chance. But I have upgraded my IT skills time to time, so now after passing 8 years from my graduate life can I move to IT technical domian. I'm from Karnataka yes Bangalore has more opportunities and good career growth
But I like to advice people coimg from outside room/pgs are overpriced, food here is overrated, and it's more prone to pollution
Last but most irritating is the traffic as roads in main city are shorter

Dear, its not hard to find job with less than 60%, infact Bangalore has more number companies that hire regardless of percentage, they see your skills not the scores in school.. I agree Bangalore is little expensive, but the opportunities you get there are endless...
So don't worry about marks much, have confidence in your skills and you will able to get job with decent package... All the best!!

i will disagree on some points ...like personal growth greatly depends upon invidiual not just the environment...professional in blr gone down...you cannot say most professional anymore like 5-10 yrs before....not all BIGGIES headquarters are there in blr.....package will be more but you are expenses are too high ...you cannot easily settled down with current inflated real estate..

Hi Nikhil, yes you can def. get a job in Bangalore, but you wish to increase the opportunities for yourself, do consider doing MCA or any other masters, unfortunately BCA jobs are highly underpaid. But again, that doesn't mean that you cant get job. you can ..

Dear Shashank, it great that you decided to come to Bangalore for your career, as you already have a Btech degree, put efforts in finding the job, rather than any training institute... be very active on "LinkedIN" and "naukri.com", don't miss out on any walk-in or any other fresher's drive... Apart from full time job, do apply for internships... and keep learning from free resources on the internet..
Don't get disheartened if you face rejections, attend as many interviews as possible, even if you get to know about it at last minute, just appear... because each of them will give you hints about what topic or questions you should prepare for....
And don't let negative comments sit in your mind, positivity and faith are biggest tools to get through such difficult times..
