I was a problem that i wanted to install Linux in my old Eee pc 1000HE but i cannot enter in the BIOS and POST messages
But now you reminded me that it wasn't F2. IT WAS ALT+F2. Silly me! Thanks!

which version, there is only a very old version from 2009

Only this working ok.
1) do 10mb size image:
dd if=/dev/zero of=mytestfile.out bs=1 count=0 seek=10M
2) format it to fat16:
mkdosfs -F 16 mytestfile.out
3) mount it:
mount -o loop mytestfile.out /mnt/
4) copy to it ROM file
5) unmont:
umount /mnt
6) write image to USB stick(sdX):
dd if=mytestfile.out of=/dev/sdX
7) boot and use ez flash successful!

Not everyone uses linux. So for windows users:
Open Disk Management
Delete the volume of the flash drive
Create a new volume that has 256MB of storage.
Add the 1000H.ROM file
Your USB drive is ready to update bios
