The xb23 also has support for LDAC What I don't like about the xb23 is that with some music it sounds as if the music is coming out of a pipe(which it actually is lol), especially the bass. Also the bass likes to bottom out if pushed more than on it's default settings. Pros are the battery life. No matter how I use it I always get around 8 hrs of battery life and it's small enough to be able to fit anywhere. I'm thinking about getting the XE300 for my small on the go speaker. I also have the XG300 and the XV800 which both are amazing and I love.
In the advertising material Sony talked about the new design spreading the sound around the room better. I wish you talked about that and whether it's true or not
It doesn't spread anything around. This speaker is rubbish. It's lightweight and sounds dull and flat. Sony products are usually pretty good, but how this made it past the testing stage is beyond me. It's an awful speaker for the price. AU$250.00 Insane! The original SRS-XB20 is much better than this.
Just take a try here in Vietnam, it's a thrash and stupid idea, I really miss my XB23, I gave it to my brother and then bought myself an xb200, I now truly regret
The XB23 was already a bad speaker for the price and compared to the competition. Since the XE200 sounds cleaner because it not pushing its self as hard with less distortion. By Sony going after this method they just made the speaker worse
Well, I got two XB23 for 45 USD each. When connected together. They sound better than my other XB43, more alive. If you can catch it on sale, they're quite worth it.
I thought XE 200 sounds worse the xb23 because it's not pushing as hard as the xb23 but I want to feel that hard because it's direct competitor the JBL flip 6 just sounds louder I also sounds more open as well I'm not sure maybe we don't know how quieter speaker sound better
@@victordanieldiaz1286 there's no need to buy 2 xb23. If you selected "priority on stable connection SBC" it will be the same sound. The dsee didnt work well on "priority on sound quality". Ldac, aac and "priority on sound quality sbc" all sound worse than "priority on stable connection sbc". I dont why sony didnt tell anyone.
I will say... Xb23 with treble boosted eq sounds better at lower volumes than my flip 5, too bad it can't handle bass above 50% volume. Not a bad speaker, just not amazing.

I truly dont understand why they thought covering nearly all of the speaker (and not offsetting that by boosting speaker output) was a good idea
They literally did that though, they just felt like boosting 100-200hz excessively as well 😂
