I had surgery when I was four because my ear suffered from hearing loss.
I had to have an hearing tube in one of my ears to hear better right now I’m OK. and I actually did really good with anesthesia at the age of four when I had my ear surgery.

When i had my right thigh done the nurse helped me with getting the pants on over the surgical dressing and I they helped me with my shirt as well
I never fell the iv going in or out when I am at the hospital
I had Ct scans without iv contrast
I had eye surgery when I was a baby and I might need another one. I was scared but this video helped a lot!!!!

Everyone is a little nervous because it is new and may seem scary, You will be treated VERY kind and are the most important person there. If you have a fear of needles and are a teen or younger, magic cream is available or some doctors will let you go to sleep with just the mask. Talk to the anesthesiologist beforehand. You will be just fine and get all fixed up!

I had 9 surgeries during my childhood was well known by staff my favourite was l always asked if a baby could be in my room. I have always loved babies and l was allowed to help with feeding when parents couldn't be there.

The "full name and date of birth" is there to make sure that the correct patient is identified. Yesterday, I read about an incident where misidentification lead to the wrong patient getting a colonoscopy!
