Proud of being TM fan! 12 years back I got my Ubuntu desktop CD shipped from Netherlands.. when you mentioned abt it.. felt nostalgic. Funny thing is I didn't had a laptop back then. Now I'm in IT.. and Linux is the core of every infrastructure that we build. 90% of internet runs on Linux.
Linus Torvalds is one of my biggest inspirations. Be it Linux or Git, both are incredible gift to computing. Happy to see one of my inspirations mentioning the other!
He designed the kernel.Richard stallman designed the os(named as GNU) in which he didn't have a kernel part at the same time linus working on a kernel so richard just uses linus kernel to his project and finally the name "GNU/LINUX" And also it's a open source project so many people working in it.
I work in IT, and have been using Ubuntu on and off for over a decade now. And I'll say that this is an excellent summary for a novice! 👌 A small correction though: Google Chrome is also very much available for installation, in addition to Chromium.
Literally, I never felt it's different channel but, at the same time I am feeling new to this, cult temple monkey things 😄 , I m happy has a coder nd being a tm fan too
I'm a cybersecurity enthusiast, there is no boon like Ubuntu, Kali Linux for us. A lot of cysec tools are developed for Linux by lot of open source devs. Thanks for explaining this in ur cult classic flavor. Ur channel is much needed to create an alternative perspective about tech too.

Some extra points: 1. Linux is KERNEL , GNU/Linux is the OS - but people are used to saying Linux 2. All Linux Based distro (OS) wont work on most laptops released from 2017 - All these laptop manufacturers have used hardwares that don't have drivers on Linux - For desktops Linux distros will work easily a) Trackpad will not have drivers, even if trackpad works - gestures will not work b) Dual fans wont work, no workaround till date, but one fan will run by default c) Nvidia Drivers are still bad in Linux - only PoP Os distro has inbuilt nvidia drivers - No wonder Linux torvalds said "F*ck You Nvidia" d) Linux is super friendly with AMD based laptops and hardwares, if you have AMD laptop everything should work 3. Steam Games are still in hanging, it wont work that easily, again only POP OS has good integration for graphics drivers and thus steam too Its really good to see that people who dont even have any experience on computer are going to watch these series and get some knowledge :)
I already have a basic Dell laptop with pirated windows installed in home but my sibling uses that a lot for her academics, not that I have the time to use laptop post working anyway but your video makes me want to shift to Ubuntu.
