It's hilarious to see the return of Forsen only to see all these new mechanics that appeared whilst they were gone.
I can't help but think he's playing dumb for views though. I'd been away for like 3 years and picked up the new mechanics pretty fast. Forsen was a really good player once, right? It was funny to watch him play Draka with all those coins in hand though.

Forsen's reactions are the exact same whenever I watch anything of this game. I stopped playing after whatever came after The Old Gods and now watching this video, I have no idea what the hell is happening anymore. So I fully understand his reaction completely.
Cards are literally the same as before, but do have better stats, or a specific class
Yah I had stopped a long time ago but I started playing again during the previous expansion (sunken city), I caught up with the current playable cards and now it's fine. It's not that crazy once you play the game a bit but at first it's definitely something x)
@@christopherIF Trading, lifesteal, Colossuses, etc are all totally new shit that can REALLY throw you off if you dont know whats going on. Not to mention all the cards that do random weird shit like swapping your opponent's cards, destroying cards in your opponent's deck, or disguising you as another class.

The "How Does It Work?" Segment:
It's spaghetti from a number of checks that individually make sense:
Enemy has 2 1-health minions, CD gets cast twice:
1st cast: Kill both minions, 5+5 damage goes face
2nd cast: No minions preset (they died), no bolts fire, no damage goes face.
Enemy has a 3 health, 3 health, and 7 health minion:
1st cast: Kill minion A+B (3+3=6 gets added to the "excess damage" counter, then goes face for 6), minion C takes 6.
2nd cast: 1 minion present @ 1 health, so 5 damage gets added to the "excess damage" counter, goes face for "Excess Counter" which is now 6+5 = 11.
Total 17 damage (6 + 11)
Enemy has 6 2-health minions:
1st cast: ABC die, 4+4+4=12 adds to the counter, goes face for 12.
2nd cast: DEF die, 4+4+4=12 more gets added to the counter, (12+12) goes face.
Takeaway for abuse:
in order for the excess damage for the 1st cast to be applied a 2nd time, a minion needs to survive the 1st cast.
IF THAT HAPPENS:
Then add the excess damage from the 1st cast to the 2nd, and re-apply to face.
WHY THIS MAKES SENSE:
1. If minion deaths weren't processed between casts, then you could potentially target (up to 3) 0-health minions for the 2nd cast, causing 18 to go face which would be blatantly overpowered.
2. If minion deaths are processed between casts, then having no minions on board should rightly cause the spell to do nothing.
3. Someone was lazy about how "excess damage" gets totaled over the life of the spell / didn't think about double casts.
EASY FIX:
Set "excess damage" counter for the spell to 0 immediately after dealing the damage to face.
Why does this paper have so little likes?

So that collateral damage card is staking the excess damage from the first volley onto the damage of the 2nd after it volleys? Its basically spell damage times 2. Also congrats on the 600 I've been here since early 100's, always great to see a new video.
