This is exactly how a regular ILLENIUM song sounds like (and the dubstep part would be Excision's.) Try listening to Gorgeous by ILLENIUM, and Wake Up by Excision, these songs are electronic but very heavily inspired by rock/metal

They made this song within 24 hours on a tour bus during a rain-out at Lost Lands (Excisions music festival). This is sort of like the collaboration of Underoath and REZZ with the song Someone Else. You can hear the distinct difference in music production between Illenium and Exicion as Illenium is the more melodic and lighter style while Exicison is the heavier and more violent style. You should check out artists like Phase One and Sullivan King who do an incredible job blending their metal/rock background into heavy electronic with the use of real instruments as well as electronic production. A great example would be Phase One - Inevitable Outcome. Please check out that song, maybe react to it and see what you think. I’d love to see your feedback.
