We should improve our education system. New courses like machine learning should be introduced in colleges and remove that non relevant old courses. New job opportunities should be there Encourage students for practical learning rather than rattafication Teacher student ratio should be improved New skills should be taught to students like emotional quotient,communication skills etc.
It's not ground reality Of kota sir, most of ur facts are correct but closing of coaching, stopping the test etc. Is not the exact reason even from previous 1.5yrs tests are taken in 28 days interval and the test is for analysing the mistakes not for increasing pressure on students

I think most of the problem with Kota is not to do with either the students or the Coaching Institutions but with mostly the society associated with it and the absurd standards for the students, the Kota would be a far better place if the Guardians and Society treat it as a institutional village not the path by which the students will attain the Societies failed dreams.

As a student who barely qualified the jee advanced exam, I can tell you that the toughness of this exam is also very much. Like the students who are in 12th standard are supposed to solve those types of questions which even a graduated student can’t solve. And then again the amount of seats available.. I think IITs should think about the toughness of the examination as well. The whole preparation journey really fucks up the physical and mental state of the body. I can say those were the most traumatic days of my life yet…
I went kota in 2010. Situation was not that bad that time coz there war no social media -> no comparison-> no high expectations. I couldn't clear JEE that time but today I'm at much better place that what kota could offer me that time.

Weekly tests and competitions are definitely a lot stressful, but they are not final verdicts. They are just an opportunity to know where you lack and work in that area. I would genuinely suggest to anyone that it is better to first utilize the numerous online contents available from home and self-prepare for at least one year. See what percentile you get in the real competition. After that join a coaching. This way, before you start coaching you will be more aware of your own strengths and weaknesses, the syllabus, and what exactly you need coaching for. This way you can best reap the benefits of coaching.

I was in kota in year 2013.. It's about students and parents how they take competition.. Year 2015,In first attempt i secured 11k rank in neet ug n couldn't took any seat, in year 2016, 13k rank.. I took bds(dental) in 3rd attempt 2017,6000 rank.. I have completed my mbbs n gonna give neet pg next year.. I can totally assure i got best teachers there, they are always so motivating, they never pressurise me ever, always was like koshish karo hona nhi hona bhagwan k hath me.. N it's totally ok to be a little bit pressurised..in real life it make you strong.. And most importantly you said about up n bihar students.. I wanna tell you.. I m from bihar.. I m doctor.. My brother is from iit kharagpur.. N i m first generation doctor n he is 1st generation iitan.. Parwarish matters..

One of the major steps that government should take is to make fee refund mandatory if student does not get satisfied in coaching, or students should have an option to opt out anytime with proper refund ,
It should be mandatory to provide counseling sessions to these students who are under so much pressure. Coaching centre atleast appointment a professional counselor so that students can discuss issues with them.

I am a student currently studying in a big institute in Kota. Studying 16 hours a day for any student in not possible we study we study maximum of 12-13 hours of day including coaching lectures. and 11th and 12th class students do not have that kind of pressure if they to Home work regularly. Mai.n problem starts when they start skipping homework . Next day that will become backlog and students keep thinking about it . If they want to clear that they have to compromise current topic . This process continues and at the end students get depressed due to huge backlog .. Due to backlogs their score in tests keeps decreasing.. this is the major reason of depression in Kota. Hostels are also the biggest reason, so we can't blame directly to coaching.. a student commit suicide because of his/her mental health, and the mental health disbalancewith many reasons like Food Quality, Industry behaviour ect..

Jo log bol rahe hai ki parents or society se bohot pressure hota hai to doctor ban ne ke baad is se bhi jada pressure hota hai abhi ye handle nhi kar pa rahe to doctor ban ne ke baad kya karoge. Ye neet exam shirf tumhe physics biology chemistry he nhi shikhata balki mehnat karna or pressure ko handle karna bhi shikata hai.
I believe Medical Institutes and IIT's provide a higher chances of getting employed than other courses and colleges ,hence the competition and it also accounts for our failure as a society to provide childrens wider perspective on life.
Its not just one factor. Society and parental pressure to be a top performing student, get into a good college, make a name for your parents, get 1-2 crore package, etc. Also, mental health which is treated as taboo in india for some reason. Talk to anyone about mental health and they'll say you're trying to promote westernization or give useless solutions instead of promoting therapy and counselling. And also our education system which has necessiated the use of coaching centres. The fact is, our education system places too much importance on memorization, even in subjects like maths and science. Make our education skill and concept based, reduce the importance of exams and focus on extracurriculars, interviews, skill development of children instead of memorization and we won't need all these coaching centres. The fact that we have the hardest entrance exams in the world is not something to be proud of when they cause so many deaths every year.

It is not the mistake of coaching centers., but the mindset of few students and parents. In Kota etc coaching for NEET, IIT etc are conducted. Those exams are not like matriculation exam but are highly competative. To pass such exams very very hard work is necessary....... You have to spend sleepless nights to make you ahead of others. A few students are unable to tolerate the extreme pressure and the hard rules.... and commit suicide. Unless you have a competitive mind , will power and consistency you can't succeed. If training is like a tour programme, You can't Succeed. For competative exams lakhs of students spend sleep less nights for studying. Then how can you succeed without hard work? If you are not at all able to work hard, then join other easy courses like BSc, etc........ Remember NEET and IIT are not the only way to succeed in life

Today, the job is now considered as a social status by parents and society. If you are preparing for JEE/NEET, then your future is bright and you are a good student but if you are from Commerce field then you are considered least by the society. Hence, parents are getting influenced by JEE/NEET and asking from their childrens to prepare for JEE/NEET only, whether the child is mean to be or not. The trauma and mental pressure the child holds who have their goals beyond this or in another field is unexpressable. Parents feel free after sending their child to Kota. This is also one of the reasons why the suicide rates are increasing, espaecially in Kota.

I'm currently preparing for the JEE examination and it feels like I've given up on my hobbies and passion, I've lost interest in life because of this monstrosity. I even have to deal with the bloody reservations. I keep getting such horrible scores in tests everyday, my college won't even touch the actual intermediate portion and just focus on the jee mains syllabus, I feel like giving up. As a student who barely qualified the jee advanced exam, I can tell you that the toughness of this exam is also very much. Like the students who are in 12th standard are supposed to solve those types of questions which even a graduated student can’t solve. And then again the amount of seats available.. I think IITs should think about the toughness of the examination as well. The whole preparation journey really fucks up the physical and mental state of the body. I can say those were the most traumatic days of my life yet…

I went kota in 2010. Situation was not that bad that time coz there war no social media -> no comparison-> no high expectations. I couldn't clear JEE that time but today I'm at much better place that what kota could offer me that time.

I lived there in Kota for a long time and I can confirm it. The situation there is much worse than that which is shown in this video.
Being a cat aspirant myself taking coaching I can somewhat understand the mindset of the students and the competition they are facing. Weekly tests and competitions are definitely a lot stressful, but they are not final verdicts. They are just an opportunity to know where you lack and work in that area.
I would genuinely suggest to anyone that it is better to first utilize the numerous online contents available from home and self-prepare for at least one year. See what percentile you get in the real competition. After that join a coaching. This way, before you start coaching you will be more aware of your own strengths and weaknesses, the syllabus, and what exactly you need coaching for. This way you can best reap the benefits of coaching.

I was in kota in year 2013.. It's about students and parents how they take competition.. Year 2015,In first attempt i secured 11k rank in neet ug n couldn't took any seat, in year 2016, 13k rank.. I took bds(dental) in 3rd attempt 2017,6000 rank.. I have completed my mbbs n gonna give neet pg next year.. I can totally assure i got best teachers there, they are always so motivating, they never pressurise me ever, always was like koshish karo hona nhi hona bhagwan k hath me.. N it's totally ok to be a little bit pressurised..in real life it make you strong.. And most importantly you said about up n bihar students.. I wanna tell you.. I m from bihar.. I m doctor.. My brother is from iit kharagpur.. N i m first generation doctor n he is 1st generation iitan.. Parwarish matters..

One of the major steps that government should take is to make fee refund mandatory if student does not get satisfied in coaching, or students should have an option to opt out anytime with proper refund ,
It should be mandatory to provide counseling sessions to these students who are under so much pressure. Coaching centre atleast appointment a professional counselor so that students can discuss issues with them.

I am a student currently studying in a big institute in Kota. Studying 16 hours a day for any student in not possible we study we study maximum of 12-13 hours of day including coaching lectures. and 11th and 12th class students do not have that kind of pressure if they to Home work regularly. Mai.n problem starts when they start skipping homework . Next day that will become backlog and students keep thinking about it . If they want to clear that they have to compromise current topic . This process continues and at the end students get depressed due to huge backlog .. Due to backlogs their score in tests keeps decreasing.. this is the major reason of depression in Kota. Aur coachings start ke 2 mahine bhut slow pace pr padhate h jisse student pressurised feel na kre aur refund na le .
The problem is this video is not reaching those parents.

Its not just one factor. Society and parental pressure to be a top performing student, get into a good college, make a name for your parents, get 1-2 crore package, etc.
Also, mental health which is treated as taboo in india for some reason. Talk to anyone about mental health and they'll say you're trying to promote westernization or give useless solutions instead of promoting therapy and counselling.
And also our education system which has necessiated the use of coaching centres. The fact is, our education system places too much importance on memorization, even in subjects like maths and science. Make our education skill and concept based, reduce the importance of exams and focus on extracurriculars, interviews, skill development of children instead of memorization and we won't need all these coaching centres. The fact that we have the hardest entrance exams in the world is not something to be proud of when they cause so many deaths every year.

I faced the same situation a few months ago 😞 but my problem was different from this( as mentioned in vdo). It is the result of Vipasna that right now I'm well.
Actually Motivational Seminars Bhi Bahut Jyada Pressure create karte hai. Kyonki har action pehle hue action ka reaction hota hai or aise me sabhi ka mind set and capabilities alag alag hoti hai to ye jaruri nahi ki jo kaam kisi ne kar dikhaya ho motivate hoke ham bhi same wahi kaam kare.
It is not the mistake of coaching centers., but the mindset of few students and parents. In Kota etc coaching for NEET, IIT etc are conducted. Those exams are not like matriculation exam but are highly competative. To pass such exams very very hard work is necessary....... You have to spend sleepless nights to make you ahead of others. A few students are unable to tolerate the extreme pressure and the hard rules.... and commit suicide. Unless you have a competitive mind , will power and consistency you can't succeed. If training is like a tour programme, You can't Succeed. For competative exams lakhs of students spend sleep less nights for studying. Then how can you succeed without hard work? If you are not at all able to work hard, then join other easy courses like BSc, etc........ Remember NEET and IIT are not the only way to succeed in life

Today, the job is now considered as a social status by parents and society. If you are preparing for JEE/NEET, then your future is bright and you are a good student but if you are from Commerce field then you are considered least by the society. Hence, parents are getting influenced by JEE/NEET and asking from their childrens to prepare for JEE/NEET only, whether the child is mean to be or not. The trauma and mental pressure the child holds who have their goals beyond this or in another field is unexpressable. Parents feel free after sending their child to Kota. This is also one of the reasons why the suicide rates are increasing, espaecially in Kota.

Thanks to my parents and friends.We 3 friends went together faced several problems like land lord problem, worst food or mess and low quality teachers. Luckily we three get into iit delhi due oue own hard work and consistency we took help from kanpur coaching faculty ashish, anish, pankaj in the end to clear exam .

I'm currently preparing for the JEE examination and it feels like I've given up on my hobbies and passion, I've lost interest in life because of this monstrosity. I even have to deal with the bloody reservations. I keep getting such horrible scores in tests everyday, my college won't even touch the actual intermediate portion and just focus on the jee mains syllabus, I feel like giving up.
