    Michael, so much respect for you!!
    My older brother spoke nothing of his time in Florence AZ as a penitentiary
    I heard many stories about him, not knowing the true from the false but ignorantly riding the coattail of his name. He has since past and I am (for the most part) clear headed and left with many questions. And being left with questions I let my unbridled mind makeup illusory stories.
    I so much wanted to show him a different side of life but he was 6' 4" +- 280lbs and I stand 5'7" and 160 wet .
    I've followed your story for many years and always think of my brother . Anyways...... thanks for being you!!

    So I’ve spent 5.5 years in prison in NY at around year 2 I got into a fight with an inmate and because a female officer was hurt while in the process of breaking the fight up. I was given 33 months in solitary confinement…. Being inside a cage for. 23.5/24 hours a day 365 days a years 100% changes a lot of things. When I finished my time in solitary. I wasn’t able to sleep without sleeping meditations, I was super pissed all the time, PTSD and many other things. Inside the cage you lost track of time you don’t know what day it is you have no idea what time it is… the box is very harmful and only makes the person worse

All you know is that he was in a very brutal and dangerous environment in US prison history and survived to tell about it. So next time, use any brain left over between your ears to do some brainstorming, thinking and even some research before writing senseless bs online. There is no glory in being stupid!

I think that first interview he did on the damage done podcast he didn’t realize how much attention it would get and how his lies would be called out. The way he speaks in that interview compared to the rest is a total shift, he was trying to convince those 2 kids on damage done that he was the ultimate badass, then he realized he had to tone it down a bit.

      @@cinemillstv Yes, I could agree with that. That happens quite often, especially in smaller town America. If that's what was meant, then I agree, but I can go along with blanket white priveledge statements. As a matter of fact, I've seen numerous times (college funds being one) where blacks were given Preferential treatment just because (there was a blacks only study area which in my opi ion is no different that seperate bathrooms or drinking fountains, its wrong no matter who does it). I'm all for equal treatment of everyone, but that doesn't happen by screwing over white males now, because there was slavery. Preferential treatment of any group is going to breed racism, not fix it. Anyhow, those are my thoughts anyway.

    I've never understood his original sentence, never heard of a 7 years to life sentence before this.

    • @c30888
      @c30888 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was the 'Life' sentence in California until November 1978, at which time they changed the murder one sentence to 25 to life, murder 2 from 5 to life to 15 to life. All it meant was you did a minimum of 7 calendar years to be eligible for parole. Before politics took over, if a lifer programed he would get a parole date at 7 years to be released in maybe 4, 5, years, the idea being that as a 'lifer with a date', you weren't going to risque losing it because if you did you might never get it back. Until politics took over, a lifer typically did between 11 and 13 years. That all changed when Dukmejian was Governor when the door was closed for lifers until we got all that changed in court. It didn't matter if you were locked up 2 years or 20 years, the door closed until the late 90's, early 2000's. I was a 7 to life and only did 33 years. Everybody I associated with had been there long before I got there and were there long after I left. Fortunately, most are now out. I just picked up an old friend that had been there 52 years. And I thought I was lost when I got out.
