Very interesting take. I always thought there should be attempts at throwing the opponent.

Many thanks, wonderfu! just one detail, by my humble expeeience from Judo, in Judo, evasive techniques come from body first, and attacking form the limbs. -by old masters-not me. Anyway, good teaching. Paul.69

Should have: throws, locks and strikes. With close range, mid range, and long-range applications all represented.
Generally striking at 3 ranges should be practiced first as it's the easiest to apply properly with less risk under the stress of conflict.

There’s more to taiji than just jin. But, you’re correct that he hasn’t mentioned anything about it nor demonstrated any knowledge of it. That said, most people doing taiji or any of the internal arts are not too familiar with it.

Yeah..you're not getting the point of the videos...this is how about how to ramp up towards fighting/ sparring without losing the Tai Chi principles.

@ cool , well then show us the fighting .. your forms great , put into action .
It’s the constant emphasis on form detail that westerns concerns themselves with that detracts from the martial applications m and has sadly made a once ruthless martial art a joke
