I wanna see a physical for Chained Echoes. I finally played it just before Prime Remastered, and then Future Redeemed, and then Tears of the Kingdom. I enjoyed it every bit as much as the other three. May be my favorite few months since I began gaming.
If messenger gets reprinted... That's going to be a big ouch on the $250 price tag it's going for now. But it still a good thing to knock of those silly prices. Look at Celest, how that price dropped when reprint was released.
I want a reprint of it too - and I own it x1.5 (i own the purple copy and I have the orange LRG case). I love the game and I’d love a copy with the DLC on it
Just to clarify: Games printed by Limited Run CAN be reprinted. LRG does not retain the publishing rights. Their deal lets them make THEIR run, then the rights revert back to the owners, who can decide to make another print run somewhere else if they want. I believe a good example of this is Celeste. Originally released by LRG, but later got released elsewhere, same region and everything. Any Shantae game can get another physical release, regardless of being produced by LRG in the past.
The AI games are so good man! Definitely some of my favorite visual novels. Checked out my day one edition and it just has a few stickers that came with it.
This reprint business is a double edged sword and reminiscent of what brought down comic book sales back in 90s. Too many variant’s and reprints of supposed limited copies. Iam not sure how damaging this can be in the long run with video game collecting but it can turn off a lot of collectors who prefer to have the rarest version of a particular game only to find out there’s an even rarer game or the one they have has been reprinted. Some games like the messenger have five or more variant’s. Why? Do we really need so many? Then of course the most expensive one is the one few have ever seen out in the wild. When you have too many companies reprinting the same game I think it’s going to be a problem down the road with over saturation. Yes we like cheap games, yes we like to play cheap games. But we also take pride in owning a rare sought after game it’s a good part of game collecting that adds to the joy of owning a physical. Do we all really want easy access to the same game? The thrill of the hunt for a rare game gone? The prestige of owning a grail gone? I dunno this reprint crap really bothers me. It contradicts everything that makes switch collecting fun and unique.
I think its great, id love to get tinykin. The worst thing ive seen on switch is pokemon scarlet/violet + expansion pack. Because you dont know if you get the expansion pack. Theres no way to tell on the box as far as i know.
I don’t see a problem at all, video games are supposed to be enjoyed by everyone not just elitist collectors ,does it really make a difference if a game is worth 20 instead 100 dollars ? Not really, it only hurt your ego that’s all
@@rdEye-jm8he it matters when you buy a game with the promise of a limited release, you stay up all night to beat the scalpers on launch day. Spend 50 bucks on it play it put it away thinking you enjoyed and now have a rare piece to only find out Canada, playasia, and two other companies plus the company you bought it from all re releasing the game for 30.00. I don’t know about you but I tend to feel played when they do this. Call it ego if you want but don’t lie to yourself and say you don’t care if a game is rare or that you want everyone to access said game. That’s all bs and grandstanding. Money you spend and value on return is what every game collector wants. That’s why pricecharting gets thousands of hits a day and the most watched TH-cam videos are the ones about rare games. But I digress this practice of multiple variants and reprints feels wrong and contradicts the names of companies like limited run and super rare games.
99.99% of the rest of the world do not care because no matter how you slice it, that is a childish mindset created within a childish culture. I have a collection of 800+ games, including so-called "grails" from genesis to current platforms games. I was happy pixel remaster was reprinted despite having 1 myself going for $500+ so my brother could buy it. To say that it should not get reprited for someone who actually wants to play it because you had fun and your hit of dopamine buying something that's no longer being sold is mind numbingly childish.
@@grizzlybearking1878 number one your percentage is off its 99.9% care about how much a game cost otherwise we wouldnt be having this conversation. by the way you hoarding your 800 games is contributing to the rise in retro game cost. number two when you really want a game its cost is not a factor you want it you will buy it. number three iam not saying no one should be able to buy a reprinted game iam saying it should not be cheaper than the current cost of the original game. so that its fair to those who paid more for it. you want to know whats childish when people like yourself need to lie and make excuses for a situation. to further your flawed narrative. you say your glad they reprinted final fantasy pixel so your brother could play it. why didnt he just buy the non rated version? its the same exact price of 70 dollars and as you said 99.9 percent of people dont care right? i find you mind numbingly funny.
Example #843 of spoiled GenZ. Throughout the NES era, Super NES era, the N64 era, GCN, GB Adv, 3DS, and Wii U, you had one shot at the hidden gems or the surprise hits as they often got one print run (…maybe two). They’re now the infamous retro titles that we’re all aware of. But not Switch! You missed out on Shin Chan, Ender Lilies, Attack on Titan 2: FB, Anno Mutationem, Triangle Strategy, Torna, Ys VIII? Well let’s reprint it for you, or you can get the EUR, JAP, AUS, Chinese, or East Asia version, which not only will play in your American Switch, but it includes the English language automatically on cartridge! Spoiled. Don’t even get me started on the dog sleds we had to ride 30 miles into town, just to get the last tattered copy of Diddy’s Kong Quest or Mischief Makers from the K-Mart.
The difference with the day-one edtion of ai the somnium files is that it came with some stickers inside the box!
I was so disappointed that i missed Shin Chan on launch. Its ordered now, much appreciated. You got a new subscriber out of me.
Shin-Chan’s English dub was fk’n hilarious. I remember hearing that it was Brittany Spears’ favorite anime.
I’m really digging these videos, the content is great. Keep it up man

I preorder a Chained Echoes switch physical from First Press Games problem is I ordered and have been waiting for it since 2023 🙃
Me too @@SALT-cp4eu
Glad I got Signalis during its initial release
Just to be specific on VGP's delivery. It's free for purchase above 80Cad Dollars, that's about 60USD. Awesome deals
I want the messenger reprinted 😢 I miss the boat on that one. If only VGP can reprint it.
I’ve been kicking myself for missing it.

Great vid - just picked up Shin Chan.
I also added Tetris Effect Connected as that game has been hard to come by as well
My VGP order was Signalis, West of Loathing (reprint - not LRG edition), Shadows over Loathing, and both the AI: Somnium games. Absolutely worth it
The AI games are so good man! Definitely some of my favorite visual novels. Checked out my day one edition and it just has a few stickers that came with it.
I could’ve swore you lived in Canada, Bo lol. Thanks for the info though! I just ordered the two Fatal Frame games for Switch from PNP games.
Buying Shin Chan for $100 and then it getting reprinted within weeks really hurt my me.
Capcom Fighting Collection was always available
Already got my reprint of the FF pixel remaster anniversary edition and shinchan, now I’m gunning for that AI reprint
AI Somnium files day one edition came with 2 stickers one with the chibo eye form of Aiba and the AI logo.
Dragon Quest heroes 1&2 English Switch would be good…and a Maximo collection 👍🏻
That’s pretty cool
Can't be that expensive to remake cartridges then. Some of these reprints never get bought
me waiting for oninaki to reprint
I plan on getting Signalis next Friday is it’s still available 🤞
Play the ds version on final fantasy 4. It's got animated and voice acted cut scenes and it's in 3d.
I'm waiting for black friday and I'll see what rare games are on sale. This is the last big sale for Switch probably.
Day one edition for AI just came with some stickers.
How can you tell if a game is reprinted?
Back case serial number 0000
Fox and forest
The Reprints are already sold out.
Every game he talks about in the video is still available.
AHHHHH I BOUGHT AI FOR $81. I SHOULD'VE WAITED.
Yeah but people have gotten burnt way worse. Not ideal though 😅
@@SilverSurfer17 I bought the PS5 at a scapled price because I waited a full year and it was still absymal. WYDM worse? 😭
Yeaaaa
AI Somnium Files was a garbage game
