Small tip for support enjoyers that like rescue beam, if Valve hasn't patched it out, hopefully they never will, get a hight advantage on your pull target, pull them and then as fast as possible after pressing pull cancel the beam, it will slingshot the character at max pull velocity over your head, if you do it too late you won't get the same speed since beam slows down as they get closer to you. Useful if you need to get them out fast and far, rather than get them out slower while healing, alternatively if you have a teammate with a strong engage, you can use it to catapult the character into the enemy team.
I'm happy to see vindicta being considered an off support, maxxing your dot damage and rescue beaming teamates has felt really strong, being in the air lets you set up a lot of scenarios other characters cant
Super good video! I've been picking up ivy lately and this has definitely helped me get a better perspective on my actual role in the match and my macro objectives. Also helpful for my M&K games for the purposes of objective denying. Very helpful!!
I tried Ivy support today I usually play Pocket or MoKrill, it's really hard to hold yourself back I always chase people without noticing I am actually behind in souls with all support items. Video was helpful I always enjoyed support on other games I'll try this playstyle for sure.
ivy should never be chasing people until she gets a top tier weapon upgrade, ivy everywhere except mid-late game should be chilling behind her teammates and farming minions/jungles
Been playing gun ivy a lot but can't wait for your video on support Ivy. I enjoy the character a lot and I'd love to learn how to play it a lot better.
updated kelvin guide in the future?? out of my 116 hours he's probably like 85% and most guides out there now are approaching a few months old haha edit: forgot to say that underground box runs are quite broken in the sense that almost nobody goes down there, so it is almost always a great little bump in value (at least at my MMR)
Specifically when playing support Ivy, I usually like grabbing heroic aura or, in the case of a heavy gun team, hunter's aura. Do you think burst fire is the most appropriate item to substitute those for in that build?
Thoughts on mystic reach/improved reach on kelvin support? Good or bad in general? If good, would you recommend improved on dome or nade? I've been trying out both, but also my thought process was it helps you rescue beam from farther away also.
@piggyxdd good to know. Thank you! It's been the last 3k item I've been buying because I had a feeling it was the least powerful, but good to know I can skip it all together.
I notice that people dont bother taking farms at fish market/church whenever I lane there so is it advisable as a support to farm those spot instead of just letting them idle there forever?
What role would you consider Paradox to be??? I am a paradox Main and i feel like she is a superb support/ utility roamer but none ever mention anything about her. She is not in carry, not fit for assassins and no one ever mention her to be supp. I am questioning her role really badly.
@@piggyxdd 250hp at 30 minutes is inconsequential. You'd have to hit all 5 of your team mates for the 100% boost, which in total gives 3k healing, which is pretty good, but it's VERY rare you hit all 5 people in a single healing nova. Nova is absolutely not good late game. Locket never falls off simply because abilities late game are on such a low cooldown that you gain stacks VERY quickly. Locket is also used to bait people and force them into bad engages. Burst healing is better than slow aoe healing in general.
@@tatsunithelennyking2540 More influential team fights in higher level play + healing nova gives 12% wep dmg, 8% range, 6 spirit, 100hp. With reach improved reach you're covering 20m w/ healing nova which is very commonly hitting 3+ ppl in a 2s burst.. Single target healing is cool for quick saves if someone is in trouble, but in that scenario you'll just be using rescue beam instead &/ or throwing out ability heals. I don't play Ivy, but I imagine the 30% duplicated heal also goes very well w/healing nova. For Visc/dynamo/Kelvin you want that range from nova for cube/singularity & aurora/nade.
Ty for the guide ive been playing supp ( kelvin, visc, gin, ) in comp Na and havw used your bulids recently in core 4 and got 3rd in healing and had great success
@@piggyxdd You are 100% right, however i often play with friends and some of them are new, so if they go solo they'll get stomped. I just make due with what i got. it'll get better as they learn , good video btw, love to see more support videos. I think alot of the playerbase doesnt even realize support is a build path
It does fall off late game, but is still a strong choice because of the movement speed which is still useful for engaging or disengaging even if just for putting on yourself to get to a team fight faster. If you feel its no longer having any impact whatsoever though then Inhibitor is super good for cutting the enemy damage down, or Metal Skin if you just want to focus on your own survivability. If you are replacing a flex slot however then Mystic Slow, or Heroic Aura would be my choices. Heroic aura in particular is a huge sleeper, and massively underrated for end game team fights. That 25% team wide extra fire rate is massive for taking any objective faster. The bonus movement is nothing to be scoffed at either.
I usually just like playing spirit ivy since despite being in a stack, none of us are all that amazing, and I feel that a support is only as good as the collective team. What's the point in me helping my mediocre teammates when I would objectively be more useful throwing CC that slow and debuff them after ganking? Or running a random gun build and bursting people down? Doe Ivy is my backup anyways.

Its not patched its quite good
didnt they reduce the pull speed for rescue beam or do this still works?

Quite strong vs heal comps with kelvin, abrams ect
I broke my healing record today, as McGinnis, 127k healing!

@@tm-qi4vy yeah I am trying to adjust myself to it but I go crazy when I see a half hp enemy then realize I do 0 damage lol
It's crazy how fun support is, genius design
This was very useful, big fan of your Kelvin. Also healing nova.
Lash is the best support. Everyone else sucks.
good content btw
This video was so helpful tysm for the good content!

I'm trynna get into supports so this video is a great help.
Thank you piggy!
Btw is that an edit or is it a mod on your heroes background
You just replace the video file with a custom one
Mod
I’ve avoided playing support but you make me wanna try it out

Might make one in the future

I like heroic its good same as hunters, I just like building burst fire because it makes my slidemaxx build work 10x better
@piggyxdd ive been enjoying slidemaxxing builds a ton lately so i 100% get it
At what time or soul count do you recommend buying Rescue beam?
Lady geist also have an alt 2 to burst healing into an ally
bro put a better anime in the bg 😭
Listen its a pig, and its cute
@@piggyxdd play hog 2.6
Great video, thank you! Can you make a video about how you play mo and krill?
Havent played moe in a very long time
Question: what do you do when you can't make any plays on the map? No one is easily gankable etc.
You just chill and push towers, do boxes
if you're building melee charge, why not also fleetfoot? you'd be able to roam super quick with hmc and ivy benefits a ton from sliding
Not enough active slots

I've been trying out both, but also my thought process was it helps you rescue beam from farther away also.
Mystic is good because its cheap, buying improved is a waste since you dont need to spend 3k on a larger dome or nade aoe

Playmaker i would say
Do you think health nova falls off later in the game? I've been tryinh to see if it's worth replacing with a different active like curse.
Healing nova is good at every stage of the game, locket falls off

It kinda depends on how comfortable you are, spirit ivy is easier to play vs gun ivy
What do you do when they have healbane and toxic bullets against you?
Doesnt really matter, you still have utility in the support kits.
You ever going to go back to finals? I assume not, but am wondering why. (I'm legitimately studying your videos at this point lol)
No
omg hiiii
hii
Piggy what happened to buff enjoyers why are you not playing with them anymore
I got kicked and replaced by someone else that fit the team better
did u find a new team ?
Not yet still looking for someone i wanna play with
