Beautiful Hidden Bay in Whakatane! | Otarawairere Bay | Nga Tapuwae o Toi Walkway

The small town of Whakatane is found on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island. It's famous for its beautiful coastline, surfing, beaches, and the offshore volcano Whakaari (White Island).
Take a walk from Whakatane on the Nga Tapuwae o Toi Walkway and you'll discover impressive forests, the hidden Otarawairere Bay and eventually reach Ohope beach, where you can catch a bus back to where you started. Throw in a beer tasting at local Mata Brewery and you've got the makings of a great day out!
