    Very cool build. The little strap things for his shoulders was a great idea actually. I also never would have thought to use the bootleg troopers.

      thanks! And yep, way cheaper than getting official clones to jus butcher them up for custom figures lol also I'm working on making more tutorial videos for specific characters. Jus busy with normal life stuff at the moment.

    I recommend watching the full tutorial before moving forward with your build, I am not the best at explaining things OR editing haha but to get the gist of what to do go ahead n watch the whole thing then maybe follow along while you work on a second viewing so you kno what's coming/what to do.
    BUT this isn't the only way to do things, it's simply the way I do it. Hope ya have fun making your own Commando!

    Thank you for this! I just got a commando kit that is supposedly a bit easier to install but i am much more confident on being able to pull it off thanks to this. Appreciate it very much!

    • @KickapooNinja
      @KickapooNinja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I think the most complicated thing is the legs and lower torso lol. Bit easier on some kits compared to others. I have the files for a separated lower torso (crotch, abdomen and butt plate) but I think this works easier for me as one single piece. Plus I can print the whole kit out on a single plate with my Mars 2 Pro.

    Good tutorial, love the customs. When you use glue inside of the helmet, can you still rotate the head? Is it durable and lasts long?

    • @KickapooNinja
      @KickapooNinja  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah I have about 4-5 Commandos all using this technique and they're fine. Jus don't over-do the hot glue in the helmet or you won't get good articulation

      Toothpicks stabbed into a box. You can use many different things like skewer sticks or some kinda small metal clips.
      EDIT: I also have the inside of the 3d printed parts stuffed with Styrofoam

    Where did you get the straps for the shoulder pads?

    • @KickapooNinja
      @KickapooNinja  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used paracord, once you cut it to length you take the insides out, it's jus a bunch of small white strings. Then you seal it with a lighter/flame like in the video. You can find it at walmart or order it off the internet

  • @brandonlainez8933

  • @grayman1

    Surprisingly the hardest to be looks like putting the head on correctly with the glue gun. How fast does it dry so you don't mess up? Also which 3D kit is that? I'm debating on doing this!!

    • @KickapooNinja
      @KickapooNinja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got this kit from the Budget3DWorks patreon but you can get it for free if you look on Thingiverse .com jus search "republic commando" and it should be on the first page. There's a few different kits out there all basically the same. But yeah I messed up one or 2 Commandos before. I jus pop the head off and heat the glue up with a heat gun so it comes out easier then I try again lol doesn't take too long maybe 30 seconds to a minute before it'll be dry enough to stay

      @@KickapooNinja wait for free?!? How???

    • @KickapooNinja
      @KickapooNinja  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@grayman1 I mean the files are for free, so if you got a printer you can print them for yourself no cost lol. Like I said jus search "Republic commando" on Thingiverse.com and it should be one of the things on the first page it has the basic Commando kit like in this video. If you want the parts for the rest of Delta Squad they're only available from the Budget3DWorks patreon

    • @KickapooNinja
