They should put a sign on those roads but in stead of falling rocks it should be randomly flying cars

no not really
You can play online races, but the lobbies are dead for hours at once. Once you actually find when people race you can get matched up quite quickly

People bash on Grid 2 for being too arcade and too easy. Well if Grid 2 is so easy then how come so many drivers are scrubbing across the road hm? Such an easy game right? Let's try it on Very Hard with no flashbacks, yess so easy.

That's how I feel about the handling in GTA. Some (well-known) arcade racers are so poorly put together you can just feel the mechanics clunking around in the background as you drive.
Then there's Ridge Racer. Reiko Nagase just twerks her mechanics in plain sight and you love it. It's fun as hell.
just because it is hard to play doesnt mean it is realistic. gta 4 for instance is just as unrealistic as gta 5, but in the opposite direction

The game is actually pretty hard. flashbacks are here for a reason. But they are not allowed online, so I'm not surprised at all to see this. I wouldn't spit on those drivers. The tracks shown are not that easy to finish at a good speed.
But it feels great to make fun of other people when it looks easy isn't it...?
same thing happens sometimes in The Crew! if you get in a pvp lobby with some scrublords with higher level cars than yours, all you have to do is mind the road and focus on the driving instead of passing them, then at road corners things sort themselves out and you end up getting 1st lol

DEJA VU!
This is easily how the general players on ANY racing games play. In every F1 game since the 2011 one, anytime I try to race in a public match I feel like I'm actually playing a war or apocalypse game. Just the sounds of crashes everywhere as pieces and sometimes literal cars fall from the sky all around me. Makes for a shitton of laughter in the moment but its really sad afterwards. If you want to play racing games with other people online as they are MEANT to be played you have to join closed session, which usually aren't that easy to join, as they are all mostly already full and not accepting new members.

Occasionally. I still play the weekly challenges but the leaderboards are a bit desolate.
I'm pretty sure that if there were an on-rails driving game, some players still would not be able to drive without crashing.

I watched those videos, few days after, game goes on sale and I can't hesitate to buy it. Well, in 3 years, it doesn't seem to have changed. People still transform their cars into rail-eating rockets apparently.

Indeed no one can drive in the Grid 2 community. I was winning like 9 out of every 10 races. You have to admit it's easy to mess up when you're at maximum attack on these roads at night. Regardless I had a blast with it.
And this is a prime example on why I never play multi-player racing games
