Longer ttk is better, Higher tier armor and helmets should protect more, and higher tier ammo should do more damage and pen more. That's how the game was made. I understand not everyone grinds to max traders every wipe but FIR was removed so most of the meta attachments sit around their trader price nowadays anyway. I prefer to have a chance to fire back when shot and vice versa. Makes the fights a lot more fun and interesting, and rewards good aim and gunplay. Not to mention, the rat playstyle obviously doesn't seem to be affected much since stankrat seems to be thriving regardless.

Streamers have been advocating for increased TTK in games since streaming took off. I get it: being unable to swivel and laser an ambusher's face reduces the difference between good and bad players, and that makes for a less exciting stream. No hate. The game has to be popular to survive.
What I didn't expect was Stank going to the dark side. I blame the fact that he JUST died to another rat when he said it.
I was only able to start playing this wipe recently, and the thing I enjoy about Tarkov is how I can lay in a bush with a pile of dogshit ammo, zero kit, yet I still have a chance to bring down a GREAT WHALE that's been grinding 8 hours daily since wipe day. Low TTKs make that reasonably possible for an old dog like me.
FWIW PUBG (original engine) started with a reasonably low TTK and it went the way of Fortnite eventually. I lost interest. But that's just me.

"You headtap anybody in any game and their dead." Homie, do you not remember Call Of Duty, Battlefield, or Halo? Sure when you tap them with a big ass sniper or tank in the head but a vast majority of weapons do not do that.
That is still increased TTK, if you headshot someone in any battlefield, it’s normally a one tap with a sniper.
With and AR, it’s still 2 shot headshot kill, with and automatic????? Cmon that’s nothing dude. Same thing with cod. Halo is different because you have massive shields you need to break before killing someone, then it’s a one tap, even with the pistol… TTK is still super high.
CoD and Battlefield have both been relatively low TTK for quite long while, not to mention that both games have had a thriving hardcore playerbase for a long time too. Hell, even Halo had swat & most people enjoyed swat. Games like Apex Legends & Fortnite are examples of high TTK

It should be a very low time to kill. More realistic, and punishes bad players rewards good players. People who want high time to kill are just bad and don't wanna get better.
@@coreymac5578 I disagree, because how are you supposed to get better if youre constantly dying before you even see anyone. I went through this for a long time, and it took me months to even get into the game for this reason. Unless youre familiar with the maps youre playing on, usually youre running blind as a new player, and to constantly die before you figure out where they shot you from is just not fun for new players
@@grunk8052 it isn't hard to think back on your raid and figure out where you weren't paying enough attention to your angles and surroundings to let someone get the drop on you. And you just said it took you a while but you DID get into it, right? We shouldn't be catering this game to casuals, you need to be on edge and careful every single second in a raid and eventually you'll get the hang of it.
