I remember when Joker came out and everyone was like 'Yeah this character is okay but nothing crazy' and then people got better and learned how to play him more and now he's one of the best in the game. Don't let day 1 impressions of a character being 'bad' tell you anything because nobody knows what they're talking about at that point.
At the start people thought Joker was good without arsen, However even then we all knew arsen was some bullshit and that overall Joker was a high tier.

I love how everyone’s first impression of Sora was him being a low tier but we’re barely starting to get the hang of him. I think it’s because hes probably the floatiest character in the game that threw us off.
Players in general(regardless of the game) tend to always discount anything that seems different from what they've established as "good". I've been having a blast with Sora, and from day 1 I knew he had hella potential. No other character can dominate off stage like he can without SDing

Tweak listed like 30 reasons he was broken yesterday on podcast and is saying he is his new main and have not had more fun optimizing a character. Don’t misplace preference for viability . He has tons of kill confirms, a really good dash grab, high damage easy combos, ridiculous edge guarding, the best recovery in the game, insane ledge trapping as demonstrated by tweak, the ability to creat multitudes of 50/50s based on his spacing and floaty nature. He apparently just keeps resetting over and over keeping you in a never ending advantage state for himself according to multiple top players. His frame data is good with a frame 5 jab that covers the air, a nair that scoops and hits behind him, a crazy up b that kills super low and is safe out of shield, one of the best dash attacks in the entire game that hits the ledge I can go on and on with this characters strengths. Your response probably will be “bUt hiS rUN sPeEd sLoW and FlOaTy cHarActer BaD” you just sound like an idiot lol
Sora: 7 button presses, maybe 9, to KO his opponents ICs: 200,000 button presses, a virgin sacrifice to Odin, and a PHD in theoretical physics to pull off a 300% damage combo

theres actually a couple frames during the up smash animation that pulls an opponent into sora and into the sweetspot if the opponent is standing on ground in front of sora, good kill confirm on edge roll opponents.
OMG!! I just found out grounded side b 1 combos into UP B and its true! the inputs kinda tight. Ive only tried it on piranha plant so far and it works at 0% and up to 150% that ive tried so far.
I wish they could've gotten donald and goofy in there in a similar way to ice climbers or Rosalina. I feel like something is missing when I see just sora... guess I gotta always use duck hunt trio with him haha
He’s very fun to mess around with. I really did his mobility and his recovery options are incredible. My only issue and the reason I’m not maining him is because he’s not a fast paced, fast hitting type of character. His ground movement, and even his air movement(mainly due to the fact that he is very floaty)is pretty slow. Not too slow but, he doesn’t have that Shiek or Fox kind of speed.

And the form last for 15 secs. This is if I was developing Sora in this game. But he is in ether way and I’m happy with that :) and we already have Sora mains everywhere😂⚔️
This is random, but does anyone else notice that when you're playing online, and if you win, your opponent will immediately press A after the gsp screen to get an immediate rematch, almost impatiently, but then if they win, they wait on the gsp screen, making you wait for them to confirm a rematch? Literally, almost EVERYONE I come across in Elite smash does this, and I find it pathetic lol
The combo at around 2:20 isn't true. I discovered this within a short time on my own and you can mash out of it. I also think it's character specific because of wieght, size, and escape options. However I have been trying to find partners to help me find out if it can be a double strat. Just throw in Falco laser.
His uair does 13, so even with staling you can get a crazy good string with essentially clearing the stale list too... seeing as Sakurai hates competitive smash, it would make sense he would make a character with this amount of kill power, recovery, kill throw, and damage... I wonder where he'll be banned first
Footstool combos look awesome, but I never see them used... Maybe it's hard to justify landing on top of a foe without an attack, since they could throw out an anti air.
Nin-nin constantly gets rid if footstool combos so I wouldnt be surprised if they do something about these. Also wouldnt be surprised if they make his up B slower on start up. Finally, if ppl are actually getting dragged across screen in games, they'll probably try to change that too. Not to be a downer, it's just Nintendo has a pattern of stomping those types of thangs out. Overall tho I havent seen a DLC character this fun (for me) since Byleth.
I new he was op day one. Most new DLC is Free GSp for the first month or so until people get use to a new character. Sora was a difficult match up for me as a Dr. Mario main day one and every other DLC has been so trash day one.

For how strong it is, Sora's Up B sure does lack a lot of power animation wise, kills with it feel almost unreal
Same with his up air and bair, those just don't *look* like they have any weight to them but kill way earlier than I expect

That 3rd clip just doing nair 1,2 and repeating is a strategy for locking down some bosses in KH1 so they never retaliate.
