As I feel AGI is dependent on embodiment (at least in training, it doesn't _have_ _to_ always be situated in a physical robot) - and we are a fair bit from having developed the machines finely enough (like hands) - I think 2027 might be a bit too optimistic, so I'll go with '28. 😁
I say late 2025 latest 2026. Development speed keeps increasing and hardware (all the new chips) probably plays a bigger role than most anticipate. I see it positive even if I do a job that is high up the list of jobs that will be gone the first. I share the fear from ccp winning the race tho. Especially as long as I still live in the Philippines (I'm German tho)
Actually zero percent chance of utopia, it's certainly going to lead to ultimate control/doom. But I always thought the end of the world would suck, but so far it's pretty fun, I think we are all going to be lol'ed into giving up control. We might not even care all hooked up to fantasy worlds, perfect wives, girlfriends....or both! making music movies and art, everything so perfect we just don't care. @@ChrisCoelho I doubt it. These platforms are very good at filtering out stuff that is copyright. and the investors are from the music industry. With that said, I'm on there everyday creating like a mad man on 10% chance things change drastically on the legal side.
I actually also have an AI podcast host! Its not real time yet. It's basically SadTalker (or DID when I feel expensive and fancy) animating an image using GPT4o responding and my transcript. Its the future of podcasting because the AI is so smart it can rephrase your rambling if youre not super focused orator (like myself).
Ultimately, while it's super fun to do I feel like this is gonna be a major issue for them. It's a lot like when DALL-E 3 came out and you could literally make any specific IP within images but the music industry is much more famously litigious. Udio will prob figure it out at some point but I assume figure it out mean finding a way to lose these voices. And if that happens, does the model get worse?
You can trick Suno and Udio with 1337 speak to crazy stuff but also in the style of real artists. Its not hard to get around the guardrails. I used Dorian Electra as and example and it got her singing voice almost perfect.

I had a thought that kind of worried me, when we outsource all our knowledge. Whats going to happen to cemented knowledge in regards to academia. For instance, the sugar lobbies blamed fat for years and years. Currently there is an equivalent scam we dont know is going on I am sure. Once AI gets weighted, its going to take the "sugar" studies that may number in the thousands and how will the new single study flourish? It wont appear in any AI models. Will we just entrench dogmatic knowledge and slow progression?

I’m just blown away but the new suno extend and some of those tracks Kevin made but now I’m also interested in that anime tool that for sure will get adopted by studios. I see this also helping to fill in between frames to make even smoother animations in the future

Japan is surprisingly more open to AI than the US. I think the future will be somewhere in Asia that is less politically broken.
