LOL, I always find myself over-analyzing these games when I play them, so I thought I'd make a video on it. I tried to make it fun, not sure if it worked XD. You're my first comment that isn't r-rated video spam user comments!
You missed the point of what makes Gen amazing. She can freeze the enemies and push them back on the timeline, preventing them from ever attacking, while you use Aurora or Oengus or Finn to destroy the frozen enemies. The strongest "attack" is one that prevents the enemies from attacking.
Gen is the most powerful. With proper usage you can manipulate attacks to always get interrupts. Her dps is trash but her battlefield control is second to none.
Let's see: Rubella: Yeah, she's a support unit, so that makes sense. Gen: She's also a supporter, so while she can speed allies up and slow enemies down and inflict paralysis... she's not going to be hitting very hard. Tristis: Same support class as Rubella, just with slightly different options. Norah: Her skills are busted like Gen's... at at a very early point in the campaign. Suspicious video game generosity at it's finest. Aurora: I like her instant-kill abilities. Even when the percentage doesn't land, she still hits very hard and she's a perfect candidate for the turquoise gem. Robert: Hm. I thought he was overshadowed by Aurora, Gen and Finn, but I see your point about his attack and speed. I'll have to try him out some more, along with his utility spells. Óengus: He's very powerful, and I instantly recognized the utility of his 15% instant kill passive. Finn: Yeah, I guess he would be #1. His spell power is just too good to ignore. ... Golem? Hm... He's a good physical character and he's got nice skills, but I just didn't have much of a reason to use him. Other characters filled his role pretty easily.
ok but this game is all about crowd control, playing arround weakness, interrupting (therefore speed) and a lot less about raw dmg, therefore this analysis, although you made it as much unbiased as possible, is not very educating
Thanks for doing this. Very surprised to see a detailed video like this about Child of Light in 2020.
please do more of this, im pleased to see a CoL video like this 6 years later
You changed a children's fairy tale into a wall street report lol...

Great video dude, looking forward to more Bravely Default 2 stuff soon!
Imagine this game with a combat style light Ori or Hollow Knight
