I do hvac for a living, tiny leaks are the death of technicians. Dont like using dye, my fieldpiece meter gets me in the general area then use soap bubbles or ultrasonic meter. But we do have cheap customers that dont want to pay for a extended diagnostic, so have use dye a couple times and use my cheap gauge set because it makes a mess. Great job Wes, always enjoy knowing that there is still honest hard working Americans. Just this week had a refrigerant leak in a wall for a ductless unit, customer drove nail in wall to hang picture and caused a tiny puncture.

Massey stuff is usually good but I think once Aggco got ahold of Massey a lot of older parts got pitched into a dumpster. Hey Wes, don't apologise for being busy, I would rather watch one of our videos when you get a chance to put one together than some of the other mass produced videos.
I see some other comments asking why you work on the old machinery that should have been retired years ago, because you can, and by working on what people bring in, you get busy because people will bring in anything that needs fixing.

Old ag machine shop owner here - I checked inventory for that seal, computer said I stocked it and it was zeroed out but I looked anyway, all around it, even 2 3/8 x 2 3/4 and 2 3/8 x 3 but no 2 1/8. Sorry. 2 1/8 x 2 1/2 was a common size for me on a particular utility line truck boom system I worked on.
I have some tips regarding V-pack to U-seal conversion if interested; have likely done thousands over the decades. Also, consider building a hydraulic test unit if you work on a fair amount of hydraulic stuff. I built one back in the 70's and it's still faithfully working. Saved a lot of reworks and found a lot of nagging problems.

I can agree, there are some days that feel like weeks. I remember this one time I had to fix a suspension noise on some early 2000's Audi. It was an almost imperceptible noise, but my colleagues assured me it was there. Because of German engineering the entire front suspension had to be replaced; and it comes in many parts like it's comprised of erector set logic. There are two separate upper control links, at least two lower control links, and it's all steel studs into aluminum knuckles. Naturally I broke a knuckle on disassembly. Three weeks and $1700 later I was able to put the car together by the end of that week. I got it together, and the customer immediately hated the way it drove. I think I got it by the third alignment, but it was also lowered so the geometry was impossible to attain. I die a little inside every time I see an Audi sedan, and pray I don't draw that straw.

You change the tip on the sniffer when it gets dirty, you change the diode inside the sniffer body when it won't alert very well. If you expose it to a large amount of refrigerant it will degrade it rapidly.

Hi Wes I have been overdosing on TH-cam, currently on day 5 of a 14-day quarantine couped up in an Airbnb, a requirement of westward interstate travel here in Australia. I remember back in the day when Australia had a car industry, we were fed the catch cry “built tough for Aussie conditions”. I can tell you our conditions can’t be too bad I’ve never seen rust and rot like that! And the cold, in one of your videos you speak of -15 degrees C, That’s just not right! (No wonder you use the F scale it makes it sound warmer). A bad winter for us is one that lasts a whole day. Keep up the good work.

No worries Wes. Your loyal fans get it. That little mini-me of yours alone demands an inordinate amount of your time (we raised 4 so we sympathize), let alone the demands of your customers, and of course Mrs Wes has priorities also. Warren over at Western Truck & Tractor has been buried for weeks with work and I don't know how he has any time to make videos. Hang in there Wes, we'll support you no matter what.

Hmmm, Pup walking away from camera; looks like a contract dispute still going on. Pup needs more air time and mice. His favorite teacher detective is Columbo!

Wes: We've used this stuff for years and have yet to have a vehicle that it did not work in. In fact, I'm currently using it in a 99 olds 88 and it still isn't leaking after two years. It's waaay cheaper than replacing a condenser. The stuff is called: AC Pro A/C Pro® Super Seal A/C Stop Leak Kit (3 oz.) P.S. Make sure though that you put it in and at least have some refrigerant go in AFTER using it or it might stop up the hose.

Don't stress about the videos. We love the fact you take the time to post them on TH-cam. We will happily watch what you post when you can post it. You have higher priorities than this, which is fine. We are grateful you provide the content you do.

Your videos give me a way to chill out and relax after I get destroyed with work. You deserve to relax and enjoy your wonderful family. We will watch a video if it starts in winter and ends in summer if that’s how long it takes, let the damned corn grow and live your life guilt free. You don’t owe anybody anything.

The thing I like about your videos is the variety of equipment and repairs, but of course that means you are busy actually repairing things.
