Mike was probably the least problematic character Glee. Boy just wanted to have fun, dance and look hot.

The fact that they never let him loose on the Michael Jackson episode is a crime on so many levels.
You are soooooo RIGHT! They did let him walk on the lockers during “PYT”. But, you’re right, he should have done much more in the MJ episode.
I remember being over the moon when this episode came out and he finally got at least half decent story line. No one would've done Riff better than him. He's the only one who can dance AND and actually be believable as the leader of a gang.
And his voice has that Sinatra, Connick, Jr./Bublé vibe to it which is perfect for Riff and this song.
I don't know if Puck would've been able to keep up with him in the Rumble scene/Death scene. Puck could sing but you need to dance to be Bernardo, just like you need to dance to be Riff.

Everyone is talking about shadow hunters, but I’m just wondering why he had a crap ton of back up dancers for an audition. Like, what the crap Mike. Where did those people come from?
He had been working with them and teaching them to dance, I think they *had* to be in the Musical and so he was helping them prepare and so they auditioned with him to show what they'd learned. :)

Tenor and Baritone (Alto in a female) always have it difficult, because so many pop songs, unless you go jazz, are naturally aimed towards higher registers.
However, it's about how you work the song's arrangement towards a certain vocal.

I am just really shocked because I know glee since forever and I am a crazy fan but I just started shadow hunters a few months ago after watching the movie and I didn’t realize how magnus and mike are like THE SAME AND I AM JUST REALLY SHOCKED today I just finished season 3 of shadow hunters and I was seeing this video of the best glee voices and I saw mike in a performance with artie and he had EYELINER and I was like ummm okay I have seen this before... and then it hit me... so I searched and here I am, in shock, like GREAT SHOCK🤭
