The Mixmag Lab LA is our weekly post-work party where we stream the best American and international DJs from our secret location in the heart of Hollywood. This Friday we have Borgore and The Buygore Show helping us kick off 2015 with some massive 'gorestep' sounds.
Tel Aviv-born Borgore is a multi-talented DJ/producer with an enormous personality and a heavy arsenal of snarling bass music designed to rupture dancefloors. He produces, sings and raps, and has given rise to his own genre dubbed ‘gorestep’ which is cultivated by his imprint Buygore Records. This month the young Israeli producer will drop 'The Buygore Album', the follow-up to his hugely successful debut ‘#NEWGOREORDER’, and will see him kick off his North American tour on January 15. Label-mates Jauz and Ookay are set to join him on the tour and played back-2-back for us. Surprise guest Dotcom joins in mid-stream.

daniel b It's a metaphor.....and as a DJ/producer myself it makes perfect sense. They're mixing songs front to back with a few effects added in. So while one is mixing, the others are at the very most scrolling though songs and touching nobs. To connect the metaphor for you, making a sandwich only takes one person. So while Borgore's making it, what are Ookay and Jauz going to do? Maybe they'll fiddle with the jelly or stick their fingers in the peanut butter to look busy. But anyone who has made a sandwich knows they aren't doing anything productive at all.
