I have Salus RT310 wireless thermostat for over 5 years, it has been working fine. Lately, it has been unstable. I have changed the batteries 3 times, reset the thermostat, took the batteries out for few without success. In short, the thermostat sometimes works, other time takes up to half an hour for the boiler to start and sometimes not at all. Appreciate your feedback and advise.

Green has auto - as in auto as per what we program in to the salus and manual - literally turn the boiler on snd off by moving the switch by hand.
Mine is now on manual. When I go to bed tonight I will physically move it to auto which will turn heating off as the auto function has not synced to the controller. In the morning I will get up 30 minutes earlier. Put it on manual the take a cuppa up with me. I will put it back on manual when I leave the house.
Until I figure out what is wrong looks like this will be my life .... 🤪😕😤
Apologies if that comes across as superfluous or not relevant... hope it helps though...
Thanks, your video helped me today.
Can you do another video on how to get the best use from the App please?
Glad it helped
The app ? The i500 has an app do you mean this
Maybe I have a different model, but it looks the same. The App is an RT310i. Thanks.
Hi - our controller went blank so followed your instructions (thanks!!) and also reprogrammed. However I cant get it to sync? I have a constant red light showing (never blinks) and green doesnt come on (unless I turn it to manual). I have turned controller on and off several times - come straight back on constant red. Did the reset but for 3 seconds and let it count all the way down from 10 - never actually connects even though showing constant red.... Any ideas?
Try calling salus tec had this problem my self the other week was all down to me misreading the instructions . Was before lock down tho. Was fixed first time but I'm blowed if I can recall what I did wrong . Not press ok or something simple like that
Ps it won't go out of sync unless you press reset simply changing battery's won't do it have you tryed turning to 5 Deg press tick leave 30 sec tap up to 25 press ok leave 30 sec and repeat
@@timeintheuk Thanks - call them. Turn off mains to boiler. pull out batteries to control panel - wait until display goes blank (2-3 minutes) turn boiler back on - be over 1 metre away from boiler and put batteries back into control panel. Turn the temperature up and its working!! Had to reprogram the timer but all good. Thanks for advice
@@jamesnoble9741 well done glad you got sorted
@@jamesnoble9741 good effort! Tried this twice. Still no green light on mine. Tried lowering temperature for 35 seconds then raising etc about a dozen times. No cigar....
I cannot get the heating to go off I have had to put it on frost
Check the receiver is set to auto
Is yours the 510rf ?
Check the receiver is set to auto not manual you can also just turn the power to the receiver off for the summer
Top vid, thanks. The wife noticed our Salus display was out so I've changed the batteries and tried to get the display back on / repair by holding the test/pair button. No joy. Any ideas what could be happening here and how to reset.
Is the display on ? Don't press pair
If dispaly is on turn down below room temp leave 60 seconds turn above leave 60 and repeat untill linked . If u pressed pair button follow pairing instructions
If you let the batteries go on these they often die had 2;yesterday one came back to life with new d battery's and a clean up of connections one would not
No display. So I guess it has completely died. I've tried a few different sets of batteries with no joy. Thanks for the replies!
New thermostat time I’m afraid
My salus is not working eventhough I put the new battery is just no screen at all. What shall I do?
I've found putting 2 new rechargable batterys directly out of the charger will bring the unit back to life . You can swop these for normal battery's after the unit has been working for 10 min . If this information is useful please subscribe to my channel every sub really helps
@@timeintheuk I will try tomorrow thank you for your suggestion.
@@janechong3402 the recharged battery's have a higher voltage and more amps they give it a kick up the bum
Thank you for your video, my receiver has gone blank, its 10.30 pm so all shops around me closed so will have to wait until morning to get new barriers but can it be anything else
Thanks
Let me know if it works
My boiler has four wires and an earth coming out, blue brown and two black. Does anybody know where these go in this receiver please?
I'm sorry I suggest you contact a competent electrician . You need to test u can't just assume I'm afraid
The brown and blue wire are obviously live and neutral the the two blacks go to L1 and L2 in the boiler what would they be testing for?
Sorry I've had customers pour water down the flue before to thaw a boiler . Not everyone is practical . If the L1 L2 connections are the thermostat loop common and no is what u need
time in the uk thanks very much, so would it be L1 & L2 into NO, two lives into L two neutrals into N and a loop from L to COM?
Sorry would it be L1 & L2 into no an com then?
Not getting the green light.
Heck it's syncing what model
Apologies ive got solid red and solid green lights now but after having past numerous app scheduled times for the heating the boilers not kicking out any heating.....
Il vreau tradus in romana
Sorry I've no idea
why wont my green light come on have replaced Batteries
Turn down to below room temp leave 30sec turn up leave thirty seconds and repeat untill it latches on
Also ensure slider is in auto mode . If it won't work putting into manual will bring heating on 24/7
Hi mate. You are so very helpful. Many of us clearly appreciate your generous responses and advice. I have same issue. Have carried out this procedure about 6 times. Still no green light and boiler/heating not firing up. Any ideas? Many thanks 👍🏾
