What a lovely podcast! I am enjoying them so very much! The selfish part of me wishes that you would have a new podcast every week, because I love hearing about your projects and your other interests as well. You have a soothing voice and a wonderful eye for detail and you explain things very well. You do!. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule and airing your podcasts.

I love the details you went into on the steeked cardigan. I havent heard such a detailed explanation before and you made carrying out steeking seem not so scary after all.

Glad the information was helpful. I encourage you to try steeking! You can even do a "practice" run on a circular swatch.

You are so wonderful. I had never heard about using your dominant vs. non-dominant hand to make colorwork "pop." Thank you for your marvelous podcasts. I find them so calm and lovely

Hello Nicole, I have just started watching your podcasts which I am enjoying very much. The intro is beautiful! I love your calm and soft spoken style, and it is so interesting to learn so many things about knitting just listening to you describe your projects in the detail. The cardigan is lovely, and so is the bias band which will be awesome on it. I also love the mittens you are making, looking forward to slowly go through your episodes!

I am so pleased I came across your podcast, I have enjoyed watching all the episodes so far and particularly this one. Thank you for being so informative and talking about colour work and carrying the yarn was very interesting as I am trying to pluck up the confidence to try colour work as I love the look of it. Looking forward to future episodes! Jenny

Great episode. I loved your "teachings" about steeks and colourwork. My first ever real project was a Norwegian sweater with steeks for the sleeve openings and colourwork on the yoke. The sleeves were knit with an extra inch or so to be sewn in as a French seam. Unfortunately I've never made another!

Interesting about your sweater with the extra inch for seaming! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the episode.

Another lovely episode. You are right to be bemused at the Canadian celebration of Queen Victoria's birthday. We don't even celebrate any Queen's birthday here in the UK! 😊 Still it's a day off and chance to enjoy a beer, so all good!

I am a new subscriber to your delightful podcast (found it through another podcast or somewhere on Ravlery... I can't remember!), and wanted to say I am so enjoying watching the episodes (while knitting of course!). I especially appreciated your thorough explanation of stranded knitting and the logic to how the yarns are held; I've done a few projects with stranded colorwork, and always struggled with the yarns doing the "wavy" thing that you mentioned. But now I know how to remedy it!!! Thank you! Looking forward to your next installment!

Thank you so much for another lovely podcast. Especially taking the time to explain everything so clearly, particularly in regard to the cardigan and stranded knitting. I have learnt some of these things now, picking things up eventually over time but how much I wish I really wish I'd had your clear explanations before I'd started trying colour knitting! I have a real love/hate relationship with it after so many disasters over the years. ;) Still love the look though and I'm sure many people will find this so, so useful!

I'm loving your podcast. You're such a pleasure to watch. I can't wait to see more of what you're knitting, including when you show your test knits in the future. I love Ottawa. My sister in law lives there and we've been there a couple times I live in B.C.

Hi Nicole! Thanks for featuring and answering my question (I'm muguet21) : ) Isn't this time of the year wonderfully fragrant?
I'll be starting my first pair of socks soon and I'm happy that you think it's beneficial for a beginner to try knitting socks.
Your FOs and WIPs are absolutely gorgeous, love your yarn choices! Take good care.

Hello love the podcast. I went to the website of Briggs and little, but the color seafoam is not in sport. I found it in Briggs and little Heritage. How much yardage is in a skein?

    Bonjour, Nicole!

I think what is "important" is being consistent with your tension (however you personally achieve that). When we use the term "dominance" we confuse the issue.
