I’d like to point out that most hard-core people hate on curse of vanishing but it really doesn’t do much when you’re on hard-core because it only deletes the items when the bearer dies
People probably just hate the concept of losing items without even a chance of getting them back
Isn't there an enchant limit? Perhaps that could be why
@@nwbdirge11981: curses have no affect on enchants 2: this was 6 months ago
19:33 durability on items changes what enchants you get. A full durability Iron sword is guaranteed looting 3 but if that sword has a slight amount of damage (like the one you used) the enchant is then something different, just like you experienced.
you should have stayed with caliburn imo, it scares away pretty much everything that would try to attack you in that structure and can be repeatedly enchanted with smite to get stronger too

Yeah, it's much easier than sacrificing 283219831829038219089018392183801215907591203 villagers. It gets expensive, sure, but it's not as bad as constantly searching for villages, or making a villager farm.
@@isfet5730 also it takes slightly more mahou at 8000 per villager for .5-1 damage increase as opposed to a flat rate of 5000 for upwards of 5 damage at a time

24:09 Make a Geas spell. Cast Geas on everything that you don't need to kill. For each Geas placed, it regens your mahou faster. It also prevents you from damaging whatever you placed it on.

In the future for Mahou Tsukai the best way to improve your max mana and mana regen is to use a fast mob farm with a bunch of life drain circles. Life Drain will fill food, health, and Mahou/mana as long as you are within a certain area.
You can also use geass on mobs you don’t plan to kill to be able to boost passive regen

I mean the death from the spell really was bs i do agree anything that lets ya jump high should give ya some way to get down or else thats just death if ya use it cause you cant simply know everything in these mods

@@zenthossohtnez8331i think it’s less that he was being purposely reckless and more that nobody knew the spell would do that. If you throw an enderpearl badly and die you did it aware that the pearl would teleport you

In the mahou tsukai,If I remember correctly,there's a way to increase the mana(the one in the top left angle) you have because the items you've been using to accumulate it are a sort of mana bank
mahou tsukai mana grows as you use it. To my knowledge every 100 mana you use you gain 1 mana to your total

It's truly disappointing to me how he used mahou tsukai. There are many ways how to get quite literally thousands of mana. And it's relatively easy aswell. Without having to sacrifice items for their durability

Truly the best way to end a playthrough with magic or tech. I remember playing a server with some buddies on an ATM pack, once I was finally done I set off an infinity nuke in my base and never came back. Still an amazing send off
I would like to see a mage and an engineer playing together in a zombie apocalypse with the goal of not only surviving but also creating a safe town for surviving NPCs.

41:38 Strengthening's main purpose is making a new staff If you hold a strengthened stick in your offhand while being struck by lightning, you get Embrys, a staff that fires lightning at any nearby monsters while you use it in your offhand.

emerys also makes any melee weapon you use thats one handed into an aoe with the lightning ball if its in your off hand and it also pairs up with crossbows so you can do ranged with it to

Borrowed authority is also hella destructive, if he swung he would have left a crater, also yeah borrowed authority is better in end game once you have feather falling
So, you can cosplay as Gilgamesh while using his noble phantasm in this mod.

The soul count not increasing was not a bug it depends on your mana regeneration rate which can be increased by casting a spell whose name escapes me

I love the mahou mod and wish it got more light in bigger modpacks. i remember the first time i played with it with some friends and while they all did their own stuff i was looking into it and i quickly out paced them with how much damage and random stuff i could do. I like it alot more than the new ars mod

I feel like this mod should just be in vanilla Minecraft. It doesn't change Minecraft too much, and adds a really interesting and cool alternative playstyle to the game instead of the usual charge head first and slapping something to death. It also makes sense to be added to vanilla because it could be named the "Spellcasting Update".

the mystic eyes of death perception takes the number of collected souls and reduces your mahou regen if the amount of souls is higher then your regen then it drains your saved amount till your out and reduces to the next whole number you have which is why it kept resetting the fix for it is to get your total regen up which is done with geas
so no one gon talk about how he died in hardcore and it did not count bro wtf

14:50 when i played this mod i went into a cave and there was this red gem type area and i got grabbed by this massive fleshy enemy. i had to run as far as i could because there were so many spawning everywhere and im surprised this didnt happen to you

Seeing as his total mana(top left) grows over time, of he got that mana pool over 100k then using that staff more often would have been an option..... but I have a feeling it would take closer to 1000 days in minecraft.
