Thanks for the idea, I've actually been working a bit with TMG lately, and it's a pretty big piece of softare to explain! However to let you know it is something I will be doing very soon, so stay tuned! Thanks again for stopping by, Steven
Just to make sure I understand what your saying: You have an IIS server and no matter what URL you enter you always hit the default website? If this is the case it can be one of 2 issues. DNS or IIS bindings. If you can access the "default website" but not any of the secondary sites, take a look at the bindings on your sites. If you right click your non-default website and select bindings the URL that IIS should respond to should be there.
Steve is it possible to make it for more than one website ? Two maybe, it would be very comfortable to make two of them - three in the future ;). Or I need to install IIS role on other server and configure everything like you ?
Great video !!! Thanks I'm actualy trying to set up a 2008 web server machine so that i can use it for testing sites. But i just can't access the sites from my host machine. I can access de default IIS web site from my host machine (windows 7), but when i try to access the other web sites that i created, it simply doesn't load them. In the guest (windows 2008 web server R2) all is working fine !!!
I'm setting up a test server at work running 2008 R2. I want to set an intranet website that will be only accessed by clients on our LAN. I think I have the IIS configured correctly because I can access the IIS start page from the server browser. Do I have to configure the DNS if the website will only be accessed by clients on our LAN? The website will not be accessible from the outside world.
I followed this guide, but When I Try to browse my new webpage it says "This page can’t be displayed". And if I do a NSLOOKUP, my host is not found. Which is the IP i have to put in my dns host configuration? thee server public ip?
I was wondering what application you are using for remote accessing those server, have tried searching the web for something similar but no luck finding it

Great tutorial ... A+ instructor -- straight to the point.
Hello Javier in this video I'm using Citrix XenServer. It's the virtualization platform that I was using at the time for my home lab.
Great explanation and easy to follow.
Great Video.
What about some basic introduction on the TMG system?
Thanks for your help. Very valuable info.

Its a server role. You have to install it first. Search on google for: Install a DNS Server
I'm not sure I understand the question. If you just want to manage DNS you can do that through Administration Tools.
