We need to be way above .500 by Week 12. I don't expect us to be struggling like that at all. Like I said before, NFC South Champs with 12 wins. We would've had 10 wins if we had a competent QB and HC last year. We have a very solid QB and HC now. Double digit wins are mandatory now.

If anyone has watched any of the interviews of the actual Falcons players. Nobody in Locker room is thinking about Penix vs. Cousins. That's all outside noise.
All the WRs and Defense has been saying the whole time is how much they love Cousins and his leadership and his ability to teach them the offense.
All the WRs are happy. All the WR are looking at Justin Jeffersons stats and Cousins 4,3K plus consecutive passing season and saying we are about to ball the hell out. And why as a WR wouldn't you think that. 4K+ passing yard = 2 or 3 thousand yard WRs. Don't shoot the messenger thats just how the math works.
The man made JJ a 1st team All Pro WR. Let's not act like it isn't true. JJ is Cousins rookie. And JJ didn't want Cousins to leave the Vikings. Everyone knows this. This isn't a secret.
And the Fact that the Falcons have 4 prime time games early in the season and late also tells you what the NFL thinks that Cousins will elevate this team to also.
For those that don't know, 180Mil QB will get you 4 prime time games.
You don't have to like it the NFL loves it. They know Cousins was on track to have an MVP season stats wise last season before he got hurt. We talking 4,8K to 5K passing yard 46 TDs and 11 ints .....

I don’t think we’re beating chiefs. Just different how talent compare to us and especially how we are rn. But I’m fine with beating eagles and Steelers and lose to cheifs. But no one can expect falcons do anything. Past 2 years we lost games we shouldn’t have lost and we win games that we never expected so… I’m getting my anger pills ready and I’m ready.

You do not pay 100 million for a bridge QB you can draft Penix but then you sign a few million dollar bridge QB and then you use the rookie QB contract (NFL's greatest gift) to sign top notch FAs to build a team around Penix eg. trade for Sneed put him next to AJ and then either trade for Reddick or sign Hunter you can even pick up Wilkens if you want to PLUS ON TOP OF THAT you still have your 2nd 3rd picks in the draft to add to the team OR you sign Kirk to 100 million dollars then you have to use the draft to build the team you will get an absolute defensive stud at 8 and then use the draft on ready made players you can also do what LA RAMS did and trade picks out for proven vets that want money like Sneed. By TRYING to Win Now and WIn Later you ensure you will not win as much now or later you hurt both Kirk's and Penix's chances there is a reason no other team has ever done this the SD and GB examples are not relevant to what ATL did.

Imagine if NYJ sign Rodgers then use 1st round pick to draft a QB or LA Rams trade for Stafford and then if had 1st round pick use it on a QB... there is reason teams do not do this you cannot WIN NOW and WIN LATER ... GB after they took Love in the 20s went 13-3 two years in a row and lost in playoffs BARELY one more TD wins the game imagine if they had taken Tee Higgins or Pittman JR and added it to their loaded team Love did not work out in GB because they didn't win now because they took Love ... what GB needed to do was trade Rodgers and use all the Rogers money on Free Agents to surround Love with and sign a cheap bridge QB it is a plan that has NEVER WORKED and NEVER WILL you either go all in on a vet QB like the RAMS did (they still don't have a legit Stafford replacement they do have a SB) or you build a team around a rookie contract QB like KC SF PHI etc have done ... you cannot do both ....
