新屋上二樓的樓梯唔掂,太斜及腳踏位好窄，有危險，一樓造定一間睡房,過多幾年伯母上樓有難度嫁
如果我 back yard neighbor 有個籃球場，嘈住晒，我会投訴佢。在門前擴大 driveway 泊咁多車未必得。每個city 都有限制的。你要保持一個草地的比例。没人投訴就0K，有人投訴的話，你就要拆的了。我鄰居幾年前將前前園的草地全部除去鋪了石屎，下雨時，他没有草地吸水，所有雨水全湧向我家，我向市府投訴，他要拆走部份石屎還原草地，和種番D樹。
在加拿大居住，你不能只顧自己，而忽略鄰居的感受或帶來不便给鄰居，那是很乞人憎的。
還有打篮球和開 party嘈 音也要注意。每個城市不同。不像香港要深夜12点才有管制。像我的城市，是任何時候，你發出的嘈音影響到人，就算日間，你的鄰居也可報警的。
有朋友有三角琴，隔離屋話佢嘈，在香港

@@keykey5133 有些激昂的歌曲是較为嘈的。我雖住3000呢大屋，有時鄰居在花園大声講話談笑，也是非常嘈的。
總之鄰居間相處要互相尊重，和氣才好。
一陣港幣，一陣加幣，聽到好混亂呀。不是人人都喜歡 open concept 打通晒的，好多人喜歡有牆隔開，有privacy.
籃球去隔離rogue woods community center打啦，一係前院driveway打，後院通常燒野食，聚會，party，未見過有人後院打籃球，9成比人report city話你潛建，到時又要拆，問清楚city比唔比咁做先
Yes, please be considerate and not build a basketball court in your backyard. It's so.... crude and unrefined.
For the driveway, thoughts on installing a 'heated driveway' w/ lights on the side'? Also Ethernet / Network / cable hookup outlets in every room (including kitchen, garage and bathrooms)? Nest thermostat? What kinna stove will you be using? (and fridge)? Will u be interested in a Chinese style stove (that a big wok will fit)?

Auntie’s shower cubical is a must, other essentials are really essentials. Upgrade on kitchen items are with investment value, good to go. Over quotation is better than reasonable.
I would not put basketball court in the back yard. Complaints from neighbor about the bouncing ball would follow right after or during ball game. Good luck ... ;-)
Flooring 有啲vinyl planks(wood-like)可以平好多.行上感覺比瓷磚舒服,無咁凍,建議你main floor可以用.有興趣大家交流下啦！我本身係calgary做builder.我自己都咁啱裝修緊自己屋企.

Living in markham. I do my renovation. Be careful about contractor, they wont finish by deadline. Their work might not be matching to cost. Woodworking might not be par to prebuilt quality.

电视可以上墙，除了酒吧柜值得做，其他柜都可以省略，尽量多使用房屋自带的储物柜。
對比香港，600呎實用面積也要50萬裝修費呢，你的已經超平了。

I did a custom tv cabinet 16 ft long , was around 4k ca , solid maple door , with plywood box and soft close drawer , find some East Indian cabinetry, they are usually cheaper

你講得多倫多裝修太貴啦。情況不是全部正確，這裡的裝修不能跟香港比較，太炫富了吧，加拿大的新屋都裝修好的。Markham亦不是都只説國語，這邊多元文化。你住的區一樣有廣東話及普通話人居住！

It’s true that my kids are fluent in English already. We prefer a school that is diverse in its student population rather than one that is 80-90% Chinese. It’s ironic, we know, since we choose an area that is popular for Chinese immigrants.😅
