- Come join me on this walking tour of historic Williams Arizona.
This is a narrated virtual walking tour of the Historic Downtown District. It covers about six square blocks. Williams is a city located in northern Arizona in the USA. Situated close to the Grand Canyon, it is known as a gateway to Grand Canyon National Park. This town was the last place on Historic Route 66 to be bypassed by Interstate 40 on Oct. 13, 1984.

This little town has so much character and culture. It's a walk back in time. I'm glad they preserved these places so our younger generation can see how people lived in the past.

O, look at this massive outdoor museum, it really makes sense having all these in six square blocks and makes every walk fun and enjoyable. With the population over 3,300 I can imagine every single house comes with a big yard. Thanks for thhis walking tour, Gasper. 👍

I love the look of this Historic Downtown District. Lots of cool Route 66 history is on display here. And I especially enjoyed seeing the town decorated for Christmas. It has been years since we visited the Grand Canyon. I don't remember if we went through Williams or not. We didn't have a lot of time to stop in the towns we passed through as our main goal was exploring Grand Canyon National Park. But next time we visit, I definitely want to plan some time to explore Williams as well. I would love the Grand Canyon Railroad too. Thanks for sharing this walking tour with us!
