Cool fact about the battle of bunker hill: The militia set up their rifles on a fence with some trenches which made their fire much more accurate than the redcoats who were in the open, but the militia did not have bayonets or training to fight in hand to hand which is why the british took the hill.
Colonel John of the british army 5:58 He and 14 men held the hill with orders not to let the americans pass untouched or pass at all. And they did in fact hold long enough for the main british force to win the battle and fight the remainder. All the 14 men were lost but medals such as the VC were awarded to all 14 for gallantry while serving his majesty.
The americans invading quebec in the winter was a huge mistake: The canadians did not want the americans, they instead liked having the queen in power so everyone in the town was helping. It was heavily fortified and the americans were beaten back with heavy losses, even their commander was wounded I think. And most importantly, The british had better training again.
I feel as though in both the revolution and civil war, there were a lot of battles where the brits/southerners won, but took so heavy losses that it really wasn’t worth it, like in this video.

Yeah don't worry I searched it all up they were headed back to boston but ended up in charleston or something like that. Just good to summarise to keep vid pacing fast

Yo I just came back to tabs after a year or so and reignited my intrest but I'm barely finding any recent creators so thanks for still being commited to tabs
suggestion: when making 16th-mid 19th century wars replace the musket bullet with the flint lock bullet or the kar bullet. reason: Historcally muskets were inaccurate so up until 1815 you should use the flintlock bullet and higher the damage rate, so the shot will be less accurate. when doing 19th century use the kar bullet because it's accurate shot and it doesn't punches through agressively through several men.

not rifles but msukets, the rwo isn't the same, muskets where started to get rifled around 1811 and bunker hill happened much earlier

To clarify he and his 13 men died following orders right? Coz based on what u typed, 14+1= 15, with all 14 dying
