There is no time, there is just groove. That sums up their music pretty accurate.

The main vocal tracks and instruments in this are definitely the live recordings from this video. These guys play live with all their backing tracks, effects, vocal harmonies, pads etc. loaded in to a session so their live shows are a full production.
Absolutely incredible band. If you haven't already I'd highly recommend getting your hands on a copy of the "Portals" live production they did during covid. Musically and visually a masterpiece

I have no clue why this video only has a few views. At least that's what it's showing on my computer. This was my first time listening to the band, and I found myself just as intrigued as you did. All the other djent I've listened to as been accompanied by unclean vocals and usually an endless barrage of sound. While I do love that, it was kind of refreshing to see the other side of the genre showcased here. Since you mentioned really liking the heavy instruments with the very clean vocals, I'm gonna recommend Dream the Dead by Caligula's Horse. You've checked out a couple other songs by them, but Dream the Dead is one of the best showcases of the heavy instruments and clean vocals sound they have. Another option would be their song The Cannon's Mouth, although if you go with that one, I'd recommend you find a version that plays Inertia and the Weapon of the Wall before it, since the two tracks really go together.

I think it was copyright issues, one of my favorites songs ever.

Yeah I love the bands music and vocals, unfortunately you can't understand a single word he says without reading alone with the lyrics. If they could fix that they would be bigger then Tool (which I think they are alike, creative wise) or any other band from the 90s to the 2020s imo....

Tesseract is one of my favorite bands ever.
I'm a drummer, and I don't understand the significance of the thing being taken off 😅
I'm assuming it changes the guitars tuning instantly or something?

@@CriticalReactions Acle (the guitarist) does that live, too. It seems he decided the part needs to be played exactly like that.

One day, Spotify hit me with Hexes on my Discover Weekly playlist. I quickly fell down the Tesseract rabbit hole. I wish more people reviewed *this* song instead of the Of Mind trio. Proxy, Retrospect, and Resist feel like they have more polish. These songs are movements within the Of Matter...concerto? Altered State Symphony? I lack a better term. Of Mind is the second concerto and, while it's just as good, it feels wrong to just drop someone in the middle of a novel.
I've been an orchestral cellist for over half of my life and I've loved metal for just as long. I've been searching for a band like Tesseract for a long time. It's difficult to find bands that have a deeper knowledge of music theory. This group not only understands music theory concepts, but they also know the rules so well that they find ways to break them in unique and interesting ways. I feel as though bands like Tesseract and Polyphia have really started to push the envelope of what "progressive" can mean. I hate using the term djent, mostly because it doesn't correctly express the nuance with some of these bands, but I've been watching this genre grow up and it's been magic the whole time.
Edit: Can I suggest Tesseract - King, if you haven't listened to it yet? If you have here are some others:
    Intervals - Ephemeral
    Karnivool - All I Know
    Stellar Circuits - Skylights
    Risset - Kyrn
