Nice to see a small van with three seats . More small vans should do this it makes it more practical especially for a small business or small family who needs to move things around everyday. I like this small van alot .
I drive a long wheel base sprinter from London to Liverpool and back every week night. 456 miles a night roughly and I love the van. Like you say, if you know, you know
I've driven a partner for years the window demist has been like that for years. If you do alot of driving it starts to hurt the back. The pedals seem to be a bit off centre
Greetings from Poznań, Poland, the city where VW makes the CADDY - a great van imho. I have only driven the passenger versions but the quality of the cabin was top notch
Totally agree about owning vans Bob. I don't need one for work anymore but still own a van/camper. I've just bought an older Berlingo passenger van aswell which will be my main car. Its got all the room of a van but with the seats and all the finishing trim. I went for a petrol because I've decided to not own a diesel again. I want to move to an E Berlingo in the future.
I love small vans, I've previously always had a van, caddy, partner, berlingo (same thing) and my wife had a car. It was a private van, with private tax and insurance. Tax was a little more, but the insurance was cheaper so it balanced out. About 5 years ago when it came time for renewal no one insure me, I was told I now needed to have a business to have a van. I had vans for 12+ years, never had a accident and I've never gotten points. AXA did quote me something like €1000, but when I previously was paying closer to €200, I just couldn't justify it. Sold the van and bought a Corolla saloon, which now has the rear seats down all the time and I had to buy a small trailer too for bigger bits/coal etc. Not sure why all the insurance mafia decided to get together and go after this segment. As I'm now paying about the same insurance for myself and 4 passengers when before I was insured to have only one passenger.
Hi bob i had the citroen version for 10 years and it was only of the road once in its 140,000 mile life great value not just a great van, My only criticism would be the gearbox like you said, sometimes changing down from 5th or 3rd it would disappear into no-mans land! and no 6th gear in my opinion it really needed one.
Came from tik tok, have about 10 of your reviews lined up to watch right now, would love it when ya can with covid, if you could get to do some more vans, caddy, transporter etc to compare
We have the Citroen Berlingo and it’s really good. Do not do what I did and put my mints in the dash top cubby! One really sticky brick after a while! Really enjoyed the van report too
what is the best setup to get ? gasoline 110hp manual diesel 100hp manual , or gasoline 130hp automatic and diesel 130hp automatic and this crew cap gasoline have 3 seat in the back , but you can put it down and move this frame if you put the seats down ,
There is a 50kWh and 75kWh electric version of the Proace, WLTP 230km/330km respectively. 1.2-1.3 ton payload/1000kg tow rating, 100kW/260NM motor. 7/11kW charging depending on trim. 100kW CCS rapid charging. 15 year / 1 million km battery warranty (75% capacity), PSA version is the usual 8 year 160,000km. Available for all three body sizes. Also clears the windscreen instantly and has remote pre-heating.....
You can get a passenger version with a 130bhp diesel and and automatic gearbox but not in GB or Ireland, which is a shame really. Not sure why Toyota doesn't sell those versions here(?)
More vans please Bob, jesus how many roundabout are in Portlaoise? Irelands answer to Milton Keynes 😂 follow you on all platforms helped get me through the pandemic 👍Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄
I'm a van driver I like how you sit quite a big higher and is comfyer than my brothers car my Van's a citroen nemo I'm gonna swap it for a bigger van like a transit mk7 or custom
i like toyotas but i want them to be toyotas, not citroen-peugeot-vauxhall-opel-fiats. the window demister sounds like you need to have the aircon on to keep the windows clear.
Had it a Toyota engine/gearbox/electronics? Thanks for great review. I'd guess I'd buy a new 2021 Caddy lwb, mid spec. for €21.5k inc. VAT. What would be the better van in your opinion? VW now has twin dosing adblue, will that use twice the amount of adblue?
I hope Toyota supplied their reliable engine. It’s a nice small van, I hope we have this in the States for my little business. Eight gallons+/mile for my Suburban is burning a hole in my wallet... ugh the reliability
Greetings from Latvia. I got a question about exterior mirrors. There is option that they automaticly folds after locking a car. Is there any option to disable this option, because I am affraid, that in winter after icy rain mirrors will frost and damage a mechanism. I tried all options couldn't find to turn off. Any advice.
The battery is the majority of the cost of the vehicle. Low production volumes also increase costs. And the EV van market isn't very competitive yet, enough buyers to saturate production capacity don't mind the cost.
@@cros13 That doesn't explain away the cost of production of the van body and chassis when the EV van is using an I.C.E. van's body-shell (as are most).
Could you do a Vw Caddy Maxi or Life, whatever its called now 😂 VW 🤦♂️,, basically the 5 seater Caddy with a boot so its a crew van for gear in the back aswell

A very good upload, would definitely love to see more van reviews on the channel! Keep up the good work 👍👍

We all like a decent van review Bob. You are a PRO and that review was ACE !! Thank you and keep them coming. :-)
I like vans. My swb Transit limited pop-top camper is an absolute joy to drive. Pity I can't go anywhere in it though. Yes Bob, more vans please.
I'm on it!
Greetings from Poznań, Poland, the city where VW makes the CADDY - a great van imho. I have only driven the passenger versions but the quality of the cabin was top notch
More vans please. Need to have 3 seats up front!
Yeah it's great once you get used to it
Totally agree about owning vans Bob.

The best little van on the road by Toyota one of the best of the best

you could turn it into a camper van

will this work as a camper van
We have the Citroen Berlingo and it’s really good. Do not do what I did and put my mints in the dash top cubby! One really sticky brick after a while! Really enjoyed the van report too
We love Bob's Only Vans
Good review. Love the commercial stuff.
Good review thats a handy van no doubt🖒 if ye need space but dont have big family this would be a hell of a lot cheaper than an MPV..
A great little van for Toyota easy to carry stuff lowdown

this will make a nice camper van when converted
Was thinking that
I have a VW Transpoter T6.1 and the same problem with demisting takes for ages 🙄
Loved a Peugeot partner I used to have . But when you tax a van privately its expensive 550 euro for 1.6 diesel.

Is there an automatic gearbox available in that van?
Hi Bob have ordered the auto in design spec 130bhp due in next month can't wait real men drive vans 😆
I like vans, more, please.
That's a peugeot partner citroen berlingo and a combo they need different shape vans
I hope Toyota supplied their reliable engine. It’s a nice small van, I hope we have this in the States for my little business. Eight gallons+/mile for my Suburban is burning a hole in my wallet... ugh the reliability
I think it's a peugot engine. Its french. It's not really a Toyota. Its like a
Cross share with psa where they just put the Toyota badge
Leave inside the car paper coffee filter to absorb humidity from the car.

Twist the adjustment knob to the off posision
Can you do a review on the new Isuzu Dmax
Bob can you get this with seats
Yes Terry, there's even a seven seater but I don't think Toyota are doing it only PSA as they are quite pricy in passenger mode
Like van review 👍 but test drive VW caddy 150 bhp drives like a golf and my one 170 bhp 600 miles to a tank and same problem to de-mist😂
Noted! I'm on it when lockdown ends
Hi Bob, why are EV vans so expensive? I get that the batteries can be dear, surely vans are cheaper to make than passenger vehicles?

I hope the gearbox is not Citroën!
Never been this early. Nice van though
