      Haha, I feel that. Opposites attract☺️ what is something you could do that would feel rewarding that has nothing to do with food? Try out a few things to do instead this week.

    So much wisdom in this video, Michele, which resonates greatly. I ditched my scale years ago, and I've slowly learned that exercise is because the body is made to move (not to burn calories or punish). I see you blossoming in your confidence, your content, your voice, your vision - and I know your business is doing the same. You have so much to offer the world. 💕

    I went WFPB in 2020. I ate exactly what I wanted and exercised well. I lost the weight for about 4 months. But my family did not really support me. They didn't want to try my food and turned up their noses. My husband and 2 kids didn't want to make any change. I couldn't keep it up as I am the MAIN cook in the house. I gave up. So I have all these trigger foods in my house because my family refuses to eat just wfpb. I am trying to eat as many meals as I can that are wfpb. I'm trying to do IF. It's so tough. I'm really frustrated that I just can't reach my goals.

      @Vegan Michele I appreciate this video. I need to watch and take notes. You are positive and inspiring. I'm on a very limited budget so not sure I can commit to coaching. I do have 2 of your cookbooks. I have all the tools, I just need more discipline. On vacation this week, so at the mercy of where we eat out, but also what food my husband bought. I've just started working part time and made good lunches, but slumped in keeping up with exercise. My husband works out of town a lot and I'm trying to keep up with my young teen kids and their activities. I'm pulled in so many directions!

    Thank you for the wonderful suggestions! I love eating wfpb sosfree. But I have learned I only lose weight when I focus on eating non-starchy vegetables but to make sure I do eat some non-starchy vegetables, grains, legumes and fruit. And yes, having a disciplined mindset has allowed me to release so many eating issues I previously had. Food was always an issue resulting in me being morbidly obese since early childhood. Went to weight loss camps as a child, did medically supervised Optifast & ate protein bars for months under Dr's supervision, went to weight watchers several times, etc. With each I quickly gained all the weight back+ within weeks or a few months. This way of eating has given me the freedom to enjoy eating & not feel like I'm missing out. Others think this lifestyle is too restrictive but they do not get that by eating real food your tastebuds become heightened and if you eat enough food each day, you lose your cravings for processed food.

    I have been following a vegan version of the bean protocol for about a month and today is day 7 of no sugar or flour and my appetite is SO MUCH BETTER. I literally don't want to eat when I'm not hungry and have ZERO sugar cravings. Also my sense of smell is getting so strong (covid a year and a half ago really zapped that), my memory is super sharp, and I am so satisfied eating very simple meals, virtually the same thing daily. My appetite and sugar cravings were actually gone in one day. That is insane to me. I couldn't go a few hours without sugar or processed snack foods before that. Also the fat is starting to come off, no exercise except walking for pleasure. Oh, and I'm in menopause and 58. MIRACLE!

      Hi, I totally get that. Give yourself some grace, it's only been two months and little by little as you heal you will get back to it. • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Susan, you have to realize this is a conditioned habit and path that you haven gotten stuck in. 3pm doesn’t equal hunger, but it does equal the time you’ve chosen to use for a sweet craving. Aim to separate true hunger from habit or emotions. Initially, chose a healthy sweet like a few dates and peanut butter or a sweet smoothie instead.

    I have an inflamitory disease called sarcoidosis. My nutritionist suggests the Mediterranean diet. It seems to be the same whole food diet you are sharing but includes a little fish, chicken and occasionally red meat. I am taking prednisone for about the next year. Prednisone helps me a tremendous amount. However, it makes one want to eat constantly. It is a fulltime chore to keep the weight under control. Will these foods help curtail my appetite.

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, I think these foods can be helpful for sure, the prednisone does definitely increase appetite, which will still happen if you make the switch to a WFPB diet. If you are really diligent and mindful with your meals, I think it can definitely help even with the prednisone.

      @@veganmichele it’s like you’re reading my mind! After I watched this I made coffee and added much less and it’s still good. I just need to stick to that because I like 3 cups a day, so maybe I can split the regular amount into 3. I swear it’s my weakness, but I’m determined to lose 10 pounds! Sadly I stopped working out when the pandemic hit and just haven’t felt motivated to start again. This video truly spoke to me.

    Sugar consumption keeps me roughly 30 pounds over my normal weight. I've never had a good relationship with food.

      Yep, I feel that Amanda. Sugar is very addictive. Breaking the cycle is hard, but it is possible. One thing that helped me a lot was sweet smoothies. I'd make those instead of reaching for my usuals and it really helped. Thanks for watching!

      Hi Tamara, I have gone through numerous certifications, which was easier with little babies than going back to school for another full degree. I have gone through programs via eCornell, and AFPA and go through yearly continuing education programs as well to continue and stay up to date on research :)

    Good video Michelle. My struggle is oil. What are your thoughts on coconut milk? Is is better to make it fresh from the fruit itself?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jackie, thank you☺️. With all plant milks they best is from fresh if possible just to avoid additives and preservatives. I get it, it’s not always possible though. I’ve been making coconut milk recently since finding cheap young Thai coconuts at my local Asian store. I love it. You could also find frozen coconut (nothing added to it) and make the milk from that.

      Hi Alex, yes I have worked with clients who need to lose more than 100 pounds. Typically we work together longer than 3 months, if we are a good fit as it will take longer to get to the goal. If you’d like to speak over the phone, I’d love to answer any questions or hesitations you might have. You can schedule a free discovery call here: calendly.com/veganmichele/20-minute-meeting-clone

      Hi Jean! I get that so much. Try to make something Wfpb this weekend that feels like a treat. If you like a certain takeout, try to make a healthier version at home to enjoy. It will definitely be healthier, less calories, and oil or salt than from a restaurant. ☺️

      Int. fasting is not for everyone, plese don't torture yourself. It's just a trend that will hopefully go away. Counting calories and being patient will make that belly melt. And more movement.

      @veganmichele  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, not at all. I was never obese, but that doesn’t mean I don’t understand the mindset and habits that can get someone to an obese weight. I work with all shapes and sizes of people, and no matter the weight, we can can have a disordered relationship with food. At my heaviest I was 190 and I have zero pictures of that time because I felt ashamed to be in photos.
