I have both the RS 360 and the RS 1-inch 360 and the one huge complain I have about the 1-inch version is the annoying micro-jitters you get when using in low-light, that and the blur and artifacts created at the stitch line of the lenses (very noticeable on this video). I actually bought the 1-inch to get more professional looking video in hopes to use it for client work, and the bigger sensor does make a difference, especially in low light, it is better quality and looks better than the regular 360, but the lens stitch artifacts and micro-jitters (even when filming at 30fps) make a lot of the shots unusable for client work. I use the long stick to get those creative impossible shots, which is the reason why most of us get this camera, but the longer the stick, the more micro-jitters you get. I have tried different stitching methods and recalibrating, but nothing really improves it. I hope this is something that some day can be fixed or improved via firmware updates.
@@z352kdaf8324 if I raise the shutter speed, then I can not do low light video, nor can I use 6K, because you have to go down to 4K resolution to do 60fps, and it looks horrible in low light conditions, which is the one of the main reasons why I got this thing.
@@cLaw27depends, in most cases, yes, the x4 is better, but for low light video I’d still go with the one inch instead of the X4, specially if you’re able to keep it really steady
So much good information!! I overbought my skills ... with the One inch. Then I bought the X3 hoping to leverage knowledge from the X3 eventually to the One inch. And also from your videos and Patreon. More info than I have so far had time to explore, but I am "off" my day work for 2 weeks so looking forward to tutorials and experimenting. Hi Simon, thanks for a great comparison video! You may have mention it, but which cam are you using when shooting your face outside your place at 1:15 ? Quality is insane!!
Hi Simon, thanks for the Information, I enjoyed it. Would you recommend the 1 Inch 360 Edition for Virtual Tours? In particular the Construction Industry, ie Construction progress / Walk through etc? Thanks
Good review. I had the original One X, which was nice until the battery overheated. The 1 inch version is proving to be very good, and I like the heft of it. I don’t do a lot a moving with VR cameras - I find the detail gets distracting…but slow movement and stationary is nice. For single camera stuff, I use GoPro…more robust.
I would choose the 1-inch 360 Edition because I prefer the extra quality over the bigger screen and other shooting options. Plus I don't shoot underwater very often, so I don't need that. I don't have much use for action cameras either so it's an obvious choice for me
I thought he would Zoom in the the footage, maybe compare color to real life, compare quality… nope just walk around with them. The equivalent of a reviewer saying it works.
@@SiHorrocks Yep correct. OK thanks for confirming. I'm not very good at being careful with kit and the lens caps seem vulnerable so a I'm a bit hesitant to invest. We'll see... Thanks again and have a great Christmas!
@@alexgoriatchenkov Hi, well yes you're absolutely correct, but these are action cams and more likely to be used in scenarios where I won't ever place my mirrorless lens. Also I always have a filter and hood on my lens where possible to add some protection.

Does it only happen in low light ?
Raise your shutter speed. This is a result of low shutter speed and nothing a firmware can fix.
Hi Jaime, today, would you pick the x4 over the One?

the 360 cameras are definitely an extra level of complexity! But with practice you will get the hang of them and they can be great tools

that's actually the iPhone 14 Pro (front selfie camera cinematic mode) and I was even using the inbuilt iphone mic as well

Very comprehensive video. One of the best I have seen. Thanks Simon!
Glad you enjoyed it
It is the best. This even better than all manual which i saw
Thanks. I decided to buy both for my trip and sell one after my trip.

Thanks for the informative video.
If you had to choose one, which one would you choose and why?

Thanks, very good video, very helpful.
I know Im late but what would you suggest to someone who wanted to use the camera to document mountain hiking journey?
X3 is more portable and a bit easier to use
2:1 most likely means 2:1 ratio of 360 captured images/vid. Great hands-on review!
Thank you for the review. The bottom left looks like a magnifying glasses rather than a microphone😂😂
If the 1 inch just $50 more expensive than X3 would you think it’s definitely choice over the X3?

Great vid thanks Simon. Maybe I missed it, but can you comment on lens caps please? Can they be changed/fixed if scratched/broken? Thanks!
You mean the glass covering the lenses? I don't think so. That's why you need to be careful with them

Great reviews and Tutorials. One think, in 360 APP , If you make edit/reframe in Stories, then can upload in 1440p.
Thank you very much for this good video.
Thanks for your effort but I think this is a horrible time of year, day and location to compare these cameras.
What I do not understand is how one should use ND filters with these, or why not, or ... well - this is what I do not get. Please explain.
It's impossible.
00:44 is that lens touching the table :(
