- Hi all!!
I can't believe the time has finally come! I AM A UNIVERSITY STUDENT!! I have spent the last few days getting settled into my new home at the University of Texas at Austin. This whole process is nerve-racking yet exciting at the same time, and I hope that I will get to document my time here.
Today, I'm going to take you around my dorm, and hopefully, you'll get a better feel for what it's like to live in Jester.

I like your room deco, not too much, not too empty. It is just right. Have a good time in UT Austin, it is a great school.

I just came across your video. Your aesome . I enjoyed the tour. I dont know if you notice but @ 5:38 when you tallying abt your vanity and under the sink. You were asking if you should but something under the sink an right after you hear a "no" as you start to talk again.

They have all the different forms and setups on their website if you look up UT dorms or UT dorm floor plan or something along those lines
Hi! I'm going to be a freshman at UT this fall, so I'm currently dorm room shopping. I was wondering where you got the white carts that you put under your bed, and how did you know that they would fit correctly under your bed? I'm nervous that I will get storage containers that won't fit since the room already comes with some drawers under there. Love the video!!
Target! They will fit! Under the bed is very spacious. I fit small, medium, and large plastic drawers, the dresser and side table the room comes with, a large plastic tub and my laundry basket!
could you technically remove the bulletin boards or are they stuck on there?
They are stuck on there.
Do you wash your dishes in that sink?
How strict is UT about decoration rules? Can I use command hooks to attach things to walls? Also do they loft beds?
you can use command strips! i don't think they are that strict
How did you attach the metal flower to that wall? Do command strips work on that type of wall?
Yes! I used command strips and didn’t have a problem
What are the dimensions of your curtains? Length?
Could you have lifted the bed higher? I want to lift mine quite a lot when I get there so I’m jw! Thank you!
Yes you can lift it all the way up!
when did you apply for housing i applied in january and still haven’t heard back
I lived in a Live & Learn Community so I heard back after I was accepted

im actually a transfer student that got accepted in UT this fall! hoping i could get a dorm as well. i was wondering when u applied for housing since its first come, first serve?
I applied for housing when I submitted my application. I found out probably a week after I was accepted.
What bed setting is it?
where do the athletic people live?
Is there ac in all the dorms at ut?
Arthur 94 There is AC but you can’t control the temp in your room. Our room is always hot but everyone else on my floor has said that their rooms are cold.
