I'm pretty sure intentionally messing with trains is a federal offense (most crimes that are train related are) it's just a matter of arresting them and actually convicting them.
I think they've been very lucky at Tower 55 that nothing hazardous/flammable has derailed! Speeds are low, but that doesn't mean some derailing tank car couldn't still be punctured. Then it could be a different story.

Cant blame a center beam car on this one. Curves are to sharp on this stretch of track. Need to move this track to another location to enter yard. It would probably cheaper to divert new track to a different location than to continue cleanups from derailmen t s at Tower 55 location

As an Australian, the best fix for the turns would be concrete sleepers. I am surprised that America hasn't upgraded all their mainlines to concrete sleepers with high-quality wood sleepers on most of their branchlines. Also, after rain, if the drainage is bad, we see what we call it over here mud holes form, so Maintenance is a must. Would love to visit America one day as I would love to get some amazing photographs and videos...
There's a reason CSX went to this scheme. It's to reduce confusion as to ownership. There are two CONRAIL engines on the East Coast and other lines which contributed to multiple lines.

Used to see that on a regular basis when it was my regular cam hangout. The pedestrians there do that to cars at stoplights too. When I visited Flagstaff a couple of months ago, I couldn't go when the traffic lights turned green, at intersections near the Amtrak station, because whole groups were mob jay walking.
Due to the constant need to slow down and speed up in the area, the curves are too tight to distribute the force across a great enough area. This causes the cars to buckle or even fall off the rails. You can imagine it as a chain link.
It is actually a pushboat and there are various reasons for the boat moving alone. Could be returning home after a push. Could be "positioning" (a BIG load tomorrow, have three pushboats and will need four). Etc. Etc.
I saw a mention of the derail at Tower 55 while I could still watch it, wish you had not chopped it up and ruined the original audio blowing out the mic on the cam....

It really depends on where you are boarding. Northeast (NY state to DC) is generally on time. Midwest is likely to be late. If you are flexible with your schedule, you will enjoy the trip.
@troy Being retired means being on a fixed income. Having to spring for 3 nights in a hotel waiting for the next train isn't just a hassle, unintended expense and problem (I had open heart surgery last year) and being that train stations are rarely in a good section of town, now I have to get an uber, load my walker and luggage and spring for meals. If I was 20ish, no big deal, but it appears that a train journey is out of the question.
@The_Dudester AAA Travel or Amtrakvacations might be able to work up a trip for you that includes rail, hotel and taxi. Let them know your limitations when you get a quote.

A bit pity that CSX did the heritage paint schemes not in full appearance on the locos like UP did. ACL and SEABOARD would look so great!
NS do full size paint jobs as well. As CSX is doing a new paint jb on these locos they could do the same.

If you mean get you where you're going, pretty reliable. If you mean get you there on time, more than a little iffy.
