  • just some of my thoughts i've had this ramadan...
also i try to practice being humble as much as i can but just allow me this one time to fit in that compilation of me solving the rubiks cube (pls) - purely no reason for that just a casual flex...
    RESOURCES N INFO

    NEW VIDEOS EVERY SATURDAY/SUNDAY 10pm SGT / 2pm UKT
I don't claim to be a (purely) religious creator, or someone who follows the religion perfectly, I am just a girl, a human being and I am just trying my best! Islam has helped me so much in reconciling with very existential, philosophical thoughts and through mental struggles, I just hope to be able to express these reconciliations through video and written form. With that, with this form of expression, I do mostly do this for myself as I always have done, and I am so happy that people have found comfort in my words and videos - but please hold space and redirect compliments and expression inwardly, you wouldn't resonate with these words or expression if you too didn't think of the same things once or saw the world just as I do, our forms of expression just manifest in different ways. I do not hope to be seen as an influencer or anything like that... I'm just a girl like you Lol Everything in my life is God given.
I seek Allah for his guidance everyday to right my wrongs, and if you feel that I can improve in the ways I express myself or if how I practice the religion is different to how you believe it should be practiced - just make dua for me 🤲

This is an absolute master piece. When I was younger I left Syria for the states. I spent many years trying to figure out everything you've so eloquently described. Now at 22, I can say that you've hit the nail on the head. Home is not a place. And I'll add to it that there's a beauty in embracing the feeling of estrangement, because it makes us feel that we truly don't belong to this temporary world. "Glad tidings to the strangers". We are beings meant for a far greater one

It is so comforting to find someone, who can put our thoughts into words so eloquently and as emotionally charged as the feelings themselves. I’m currently pregnant, my husband is from Gaza and this baby has been experiencing the pain of her people, through me. subhan’Allah she hasn’t been born yet and is already destined to feel the pain of her fellow Palestinians, but at the same time she is also feels the blessing of having empathy, care, detachment from this dunya, the perspective of what is truly important and how to navigate life in a way that doesn’t take you away from your ultimate destination.

I’ve loved this world too much.
I’m a born Muslim yet I feel so far away from allah, I swear I’ve been practicing islam since I was a kid yet I feel so detached and I always wonder how can people view allah in a light that i can’t see him in?
So I started from square one, detaching and attaching myself to new things. Good habits to learn, a new surah to recite, a good deed to keep up, and a open heart and mind when I pray.
Nowadays I feel closer than ever to him, I talk to him everyday, my duas are longer and more sincere, my heart aches when I hear his words getting recited and I always say الحمدالله, this religion is everything to me.
and this Ramadan I felt like I’ve wasted it by not practicing and pushing myself to newer limits and not achieving certain goals.
But I promised myself and allah I’ll be doing that and beyond that promise next Ramadan.
May Allah grant us jannah and a make it easier for us in this life.

Sister, can you please give me so tips or ways to detach and get closer to Allah? What exactly should I do? I’ve been struggling for a year now. I thought this Ramadan would change me but I’m still the same. I still cant get rid of my bad habits or sins no matter how many videos I watch.

    • @Soso-ts5hb
      @Soso-ts5hb 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@Liii89 of course,
First you need to ask Allah for help and for him to make this easy for you, we children of Adam are so easily capable of sin so don’t feel discouraged that you returned to a previous sin. And always remember my love that Allah is most forgiving and most merciful so return to him and ask him to help you and never lose trust in his mercy :) .
Second thing is you need to cut access to these sins, for example: music ! Delete all music apps, replace music with podcasts or Quran, busy yourself with something that won’t lead you to listening to music.
In conclusion cut out all access to these sins, and if you can’t cut direct access then try to prevent yourself to commit that specific sin.
Thirdly, it’s not hard, neverrrrr think of wanting to repent and becoming a better Muslims as a hard thing, I swear to you my love it’s the easiest thing out there to do, keep a open mindset and be optimistic! Also I always remind myself that this life is a simple test for me to pass and get my reward which is jannah.
Plus in one of the Hadiths it says that if a Muslim leaves a specific sin for the sake of Allah then Allah will reward this Muslim with so much in this life and in jannah :).
Fourthly, bussssyyy yourself my love! You want to stop gossiping ? Remove yourself from the gossiping environment. You want to stop judgmenting people? Put yourself in their shoes. You want to stop listening to music? Listen to a podcast instead.
Five, don’t ever be embarrassed to ask Allah for forgiveness again after you have gone back to the same sin, he knows your trying your hardest and inshallah will reward you as he sees fits to ur struggles but still push yourself and avoid harming your relationship with Allah and avoid ur sin.
      Six, duuuaaa duuuaaaa duuuaaaaaaaa
Seven, pray more, I’m not talking about the obligatory prayers I’m talking about sunnah prayers and nightly prayers, they make such a big difference.
Eight, read books .. I know it’s weird to mention this but after reading books about Islam and even fictional stories I stopped thinking of committing my sins which this also means to busy yourself with other stuff to so u don’t fall into sinning
Also read Quran everyday even if it’s just ten ayat!
Nine, be happy with your progress.
Ten, even the thought and intention of wanting to stay away from sin is rewarded with Hassanat (good deeds) so keep ur intentions clear and work towards them my love, if you need anything what’s so ever let me know

@@Soso-ts5hb thank you sister, I have another problem. Everytime when I just get a little bit closer to Allah and used to my prayers, I get my period and after I hit low again and becomes very hard for me to get back from the slump. That’s usually where I start to go back to sins or just generally feel detached from Allah and more attached to the dunya. So the root problem is I think my period :,) how do you deal with it? This Ramadan doesn’t feel like Ramadan I was used to cause of what is going on in Palestine, it opened my mind, heart and soul to the ugliness of this world further as it keeps getting uglier everyday. It’s seriously a wake up call for real this time and our temporary happiness is stripped away so that we can see the reality at its full glory and it’s not very pleasant.
It is very heartbreaking and dystopian feeling of where you are at this current situation of the world. Are you good enough? Are you improving or declining? Where am I going from here? What do I do? It hits you like a steel door and there is no chance of turning back to how it was and I do hope that things get better in the future in sha Allah. It also goes to show that yes you will have good things coming your way but you will lose also lose some things you already have and got use to.

    • @waysabi
      @waysabi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

100% relate to that it’s so hard to compartmentalise ugliness in the world, and the guilt just eats at you for feeling sad about our own lives after watching everything going on but the important thing is to always turn back to Allah. We don’t have the answers but He does and we have to have trust in that and use this as a reminder of our mortality on this earth and our sole purpose of being here.

such beautifully worded thoughts. One of beautiful things about being muslims is this, you can be anywhere on Earth, but our Iman will always make us feel this special connection with other muslims. People that we have just met, people at the mosque, thousands of kilometers from our “homeland”. That’s the beauty of it, i feel like as muslims there’s no such thing as “patriotism”, this planet is Allah’s creation and there’s this thread between us Muslims that make us feel connected, because we are have the same vision and goal. We know why we are here, we are connected to this higher purpose and we can more easily connect with fellow brothers and sisters. While people who do not have it are much more connected to this dunya, things attached to it, their ego, the social games, the political debates… and all of this useless noise creates hypocrisy and lack of genuineness in people’s hearts. Alhamdullilah.
you have a beautiful soul, waysabi. I thank Allah for having put you in my path, and may Allah bless you, grant you Jannah and protect your beautiful spirit, and may He grant Jannah to all our brothers and sisters suffering from the hands of this dunya’s corrupters. Everything will be brought to Justice, perfect Justice.

Dear waysabi i just want to say that your videos are truly inspiring. It's like you're speaking what's going on in my mind but i can't find words to say it. This Ramadan is indeed different from the last Ramadan. With the ongoing atrocities going on in Palestine and the injustice done to innocent people and seeing how they don't let it stop them from disrupting their iman, they're still constantly praying to Allah and fasting despite having no food it made me feel ashamed of how we the people who have basic needs and luxuries get distracted by the worldly pleasures which weakens our iman.I'm 16 and still learning trying to navigate the world which i know is temporary what matters is akhirah videos like yours help me to not lose hope in whatever I'm doing, hope we all become a better Muslim as each day goes by and inshaAllah meet in jannah. Even though I'm sick this year and can't focus on my ibadat properly due to poor health inshaAllah next year I'll try to be better by than and develop a stronger iman and focus on what matters:Allah.InshAllah we'll be there next Ramadan and get a new chance to repent to Allah. Despite all this I'm still greatful to Allah because Allah is the best of planners.
PS-Ignore any mistakes as im still learning, these are just my thoughts i wanted to express and wanted to appreciate the video

The video script. Everything is so so perfect. Just wanted to suggest if you just turn the text Color yellow. It will look more cinematic type. ❤ btw loved your video

Aww thank you so much for the comment! 🥰 Me personally, I'm more of a fan of the green - especially since the messaging of this video is primarily for Palestine so wanted to translate that , thank you again for the comment!!

I live in a country where free speech is heavily controlled and protesting is banned. it (may or may not) hold messaging which may or may not be taken as a form of protest. Though this comment is not me admitting to posing with any statements which may be taken offensively! There is no proof of it x It can be a picture of a duck. Or a cat. Who knows? 🤷‍♀️
