    I have that same machine. Love it! And yes, it's the balance of the clothing. I just readjust and it works fine. Heavy clothing can cause it to do the same and the machine suppose to be on tile - hard surface not carpet or a rug). I use the stocking on my drain hose as well and I place a food catcher insert in the drain (helps catch an escaping lint). Sometimes, I place the drainage hose on the edge of the dish drain so it won't clog up the drain. Normally, it will also spin around three times before it goes into the next mode. Those sensors are super! Have had mine since last summer and I get a banging sound sometimes (coins or money in pockets or buttons....unsure). Have found a nickel in the bottom of the washer afterward though lol. Hope you're still enjoying your washer. I am!

    the reason your spin cycle is so loud is because the drum is not sitting centered in the tub. if you pause at 0:01, you can see the left side has a much bigger gap than the right side. when it spins, the drum itself is hitting the side of the tub. mine had this problem as well. i had to take everything apart and press the plastic holder at the bottom back to the center, it is not easy to do but it did fix the problem. some people out there say it's your drain hose, or the off-load sensor, but it isn't.
    if you watch the reviews of this product where they say they don't have this problem, look at the same gap on theirs and you'll notice they are even all the way around. this is how it's supposed to be. yours, mine, and countless others wound up with off centered ones.

      +Dan da Silva The funny thing is Haier sent me another washer that started doing the same thing AFTER I updated my video. If I could take this apart and center the drum I most certainly would if I knew what I was doing.
      You wouldn't by any chance want to come to my house and do this for me would you?

      Please let me know. I have laundry piling up and I'm too nervous to wash my clothes because I don't want people to think I'm having a gun party in my home. I might have to resort to going back to using my Panda washer....Ugh.

    I brought this washer 3 weeks ago and it great. Just make sure your floor is level,and never put a lot of clothes in it at one time

    I'm using mine for the first time as I type. I love it. Nice, quite and compact. I was worried about the spin cycle as well. I have it loosely loaded to the top with briefs and socks. It has spun several times with no problems. When I used my large washer if the load was unbalanced it would bang until I stopped the cycle and evened out the load. Some time it would take several adjustments to get it to stop banging. My new Haier tub appeared to be off balance before I used it but it's spinning nicely right now. :) I'm hoping that's your problem and you can easily fix it by balancing your load.

    I have this little great machine, if your clothes aren’t moving freely in the water, you must adjust the water level to add more water, this would help a lot to balance the load, that would prevent that loud noise, do to been out of balance.
    Also it could be overloaded, in that case just take some clothes out. You notice if your machine is overloaded when the drum is way low, the gap between the door and the drum is bigger than usual.
    To empty out any water remains just lower the hose into a container that is below the hose at the machine base.
    If the electrical fuse is triggering, the amps of the fuse is too low to support the load of current need for the spinning circle. Consult with a certified electrician.
    Overall is a very very good machine, I still have mine in a small condo that I rent and still running strong as ever.
    I hope this little tricks that I have learn over the past 8+ years of owning this washer, can help you with yours in some way.

    Just reach in there and adjust your clothes until it’s not knocking. It’s knocking because you have too many clothes on one side or the other they need to be even all the way around. Hope this helps. Have a blessed week.

  • @ItCantRainForever2
    @ItCantRainForever2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It was knocking because it was an unbalanced load. It doesn't have the thing in the middle like full size washers. You have to pause it and rearrange your clothes.

    I love my portable washing machine. bought it in August of 2013. last year it started acting up. washes but when it time to drain it just stop. so you think is the belt? I was going to take it into the shop for repair but the place is so so far away from where I live but if it's something simple as a belt I can do that myself. Thanks for sharing.

    My portable avanti washer will power on allows water in but will not start the cycle. What do you think might be wrong?
    Thanks.

    Replace your belt and pump every few years. Just by maintaining service so they don't break down.

  • @petermaz701
    @petermaz701 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You need high water level for that load. That Low water level puts a strain on the motor. If the repair man came like he did for me he had to fix this metal thing sensor in the back that the tub was hitting and then it was silent after that.

  • @MarkinToronto
    @MarkinToronto 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Take the 'sock' off the outlet hose for one, it should have an internal filter that can be cleaned regularly. These type of machines "really" need to be almost perfectly balanced in order to not "clang around". Sorry to see the model you bought, the Haier only has the bottom plate "swoosh type plate", the Danby I got (almost exactly the same size) has the "agitator" that we've all known from Grandma's times and works a million times better! Better luck next time around, as I know it too would have been expensive.

    • @nvd2ceb4
      @nvd2ceb4  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I figured the problem out already. I just move the drain hose around and the knocking stops. I unlock the wheels and rinse with cold water. Ever since I started doing this I've been able to do 4-5 loads of laundry with no problems. Could've sworn I stated this in other comments.

    you just needed to readjust the clothes OR...turn the little level to get the machine level...don't let it keep banging around...MINE NEVER DOES THAT

  • @dwai1967
    @dwai1967 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    the load is not balanced. heavy weight items should be washed separately. I have the same machine and when washing heavy items especially with a full tub of water that will happen. also if you have the rolling casters on make sure the locking levers are facing the same direction outwards front and back . to keep using it like that will surely damage the machine. good luck.

    I think if you want to continue to use the stocking, try using the strainer. The water will still drain and not get sucked into the disposal☺

    You have way too many clothes in there. The clothes are supposed to float around in the water. And that crazy noise is the buttons on your pants rubbing against the side of the drum. The horrible knocking noise when spinning is because the heavy clothes are off balance. Jeans are bad about that.

    • @nvd2ceb4
      @nvd2ceb4  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have too much clothes in there. It was only three garments and it was the drain hose that was causing the problems not one little button on my jeans. I have found that if the washer starts knocking to simply rinse my clothes in cold water, keeps the wheels unlocked, and adjust the drain hose. Problem solved and I can get through my loads of laundry w/o any knocking at all.

  • @aliceemrs.9200
    @aliceemrs.9200 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The same problem can be happened when you load too thick or load the laundry not as an even way. Also that ziggling sound?! is from the zipper/parts of your cloth. So, don't worry, all these issues not from the washer. I had the same issues with the bigger machine.

  • @robilav8964
    @robilav8964 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have this washer for more than two years, I load adult size of 2 pants (light material only / not jeans) and 3 tops. Up to 3 heavy loads of wash until I put it away and it's been that way ever since. I use this washer every other day, sometimes a couple of days gone. No problem at all.
    The noise that's coming out from your washer happened to me at the first time I use it, that noise happens only during the spin cycle. Is that right? if yes, then you have to find some handy friend of yours to open the bottom part of your washer (you have to lie it). You will find a big white plastic holder for the tub, that is LOOSE. You can take it out. When you wash your clothes without it and if the tub is unbalance, the system or washer will automatically stop the tub from spinning and alarm will go - telling you to re-arrange your clothes.
    I hope this will ease your worries.

    Hey, I have the same machine. You may have to use less clothes or less heavy clothes. Try that. Also, the wash cycle doesn't sound right. Do you think you may have changed stuck in the bottom of the drum somewhere.

    I think it’s your drain hose banging against the outside of the machine housing. I that issue with mine too.

  • @InTheFleshInc

    Didn't you put the white curve drain spout on the end of hose instead of a sock or hose? You can easily prop it with a little bit of skill.

    Mines doing the same n I just got it.. it does it on empty no clothes at all. try it like that..if so ..girl I'll let u know what I did to fix the issue I haven't even try messing with it..but when I do hope I fix it.. alot people saying the drain holes need to be pull out more ..and I also heard people saying is hitting something inside u need to try to make a cancel for it..

    Update...... I just finished my first load and put it in my gas dryer. I couldn't believe how dry the spin cycle on the Haier washer got the clothes. I'm guessing it will save on the drying time as well. Just when I thought doing the laundry couldn't get any better I found a $5.00 bill in the dryer. Gotta run, time for another load of wash. :)

    It’s way over loaded!

  • @VampyreBarbie
    @VampyreBarbie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Your load is unbalanced, and you have too many heavy items in there. Opt for smaller lighter loads....heavy clothes like towels, do two at a time. Also, your floor could be slightly tilted. Good luck!

    • @nvd2ceb4
      @nvd2ceb4  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish people would stop telling me how to load my washer like I've never done laundry before. My load wasn't unbalanced and neither is my floor. I already figured out the problem and it's already been solved. It has NOTHING to do with how much clothes I put in my washer!
